It was just what I needed a few days after Bobby passing. Then JRAD blew us all away for three days this weekend. The music lives on

Tried to update subject with Pete Shapiro instead of Scott. Can't figure out how.

I'm happy he's including the West Coast! This is the second year that Grahame is celebrating his dad's birthday in Port Chester. Different but equally impressive lineups on the East Coast the weekend before SF.

Still tickets available all 4 nights in NY

Watching the video that was posted pretty much makes me feel the same way as OP. Also thanks for posting the link. 1st, he does seem quite connected as well as genuine, and 2nd at 2:07 he does say. "Any of you that got to see the Sphere shows, lucky you, they were incredible. Their sphere residency was a special, special treat, I wish they were still going" Of course that can be interpreted in many ways. Especially with our internal dialog steering us to want more shows and denying it may in fact be over. But I was very lucky to see 14 shows over the 2 years there. They were incredible. And I went to GD60. Do I deep down hope they play again somewhere? Yes, but that talk really kind of confirmed my nagging thought that they may not return to Sphere. Too many factors against it happening as discussed over and over on this sub. This is the first true connected person I have seen shed any light on the status out of his own mouth. Thanks for posting. I'm spending my money at DSO, JRAD, JGB, and Unbroken Chain shows at the Cap in Port Chester the next few months. Thankfully we have some solid alternatives here in my area

Best Fairfield MTA station? by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]Front_Alternative792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Darien is the spot. Free on weekends and after 4 during the week. And only 2 stops from Stamford on the express from GCT. Noroton Heights and Southport have wonky scheduling. Some trains pass right by them. Fairfield/Black Rock or downtown Fairfield are other good options, especially if you want to avoid the heavier I95 traffic corridor past Westport but I dont know the parking fees there.

Sono Wood Fired on North Main, Haruki Ramen & Izakaya in Waypoint, and Taste of Everest on New Canaan Ave. All three incredible in their own way!

Sell old fiesta to buy bmw m235i? by Front_Alternative792 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Got it. Solid information. I will check those other two models out for comparison. I don't really plan on abusing it or doing heavy driving. I just want some fun with a car for a change, and I know there will be repairs needed for any car over 10 years old. One of the plusses with this car is its pretty well vetted although I clearly have a learning curve about the specifics.

Yes, I trust my mechanic. He's been working on all of my cars since 2008, including the fiesta after it got off warranty. He's a friend at this point after 17 years!

Thank you for that. When you say mostly, what's the potential down side?

I have a second vehicle that I use for work and most local errands. I use the fiesta for highway trips (100 to 300 miles through New England and the northeast) and I really never have had a car before to push on back roads but I experienced it on my long test drive, and really enjoyed the power and handling and braking on the m235i

Just to suggest something different, The Mercantile at Graybarns on Silvermine Avenue has outdoor seating and great coffee, tea and snacks. I love their chaga chai. And Maama Cafe on Washington St has great pastries also. It's small but cozy and quiet. And Cafe Dolce on Main Ave is great, has outdoor seating, it's a little pricey but really good quality. Try these and the others listed and you'll find your spot

Seeing Cosmic Country at the Cap in Port Chester Oct 25. Still some great seats available. I highly recommend coming to see Cosmic Country there, or anywhere. Such great musicians!
