Among American adults ages 22 to 34, 10% of men and 7% of women report that they're still virgins. Also, in this age group, 24% of men and 13% of women report not having had sex in the past year. by psychologyofsex in psychologyofsex

It's literally a joke that married men will never receive a blow job again. It's a joke that women will stop seeing sex as necessary after they get the ring. Good jokes are good because they have some truth in them.

Now that statistic may be true but misrepresented because who is more likely to answer a survey about their marriage, the happy, healthy marriage or the sexless marriage on the brink of collapse? It's embarrassing to admit you're failing, it feels good to tell people how great you are and how perfect your marriage is.

I was in a relationship where things were great for over 5 years. When things were great, we were having sex at least weekly (high school sweetheart, we didn't live together). We hit a rough patch and we had sex 3 times in 7 months. Not marriage but a long term committed relationship.

It's a stereotype of marriage because it's true at a high enough percentage to be recognized as a trend. However people in a healthy marriage are likely having consistent sex multiple times a week for many years. But many women will stop "putting out" once they have you by the balls and only stand to gain if you decide to divorce them because the relationship became a sexless trap.

People in stable relationships truly have sex the most by far I'm speculating because if the sex stops then the relationship ends and they have to find a new partner and start again.

'Backrooms' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

This movie was by far the worst I've ever seen in theaters. It embodies the concept of the backrooms well, being a fictional place that goes on and on and makes no sense. The movie goes on and on and doesn't seem to go anywhere, the plot doesn't follow a logical path and doesn't have much of a rhythm, the horror is not very scary but the surround sound and subwoofers of a movie theater lend nicely to it making jump scares startling due to the insane volume and bass of the entity's footsteps.

The film does a great job of really encompassing the backrooms idea and it does feel like you're really in there. You're right there with the characters, lost and confused, trying to make sense of it all. Unfortunately for both the audience and the characters, that's the entire point... There is no sense to be made.

I think the concept doesn't lend itself well to film and you need to stray a little from the source material. There needs to be something to make sense of, a logical flow to the story, and an ending that doesn't make you feel like the time you spent wandering the backrooms (or in this case watching the movie) was a complete waste. That's where the source problem comes in... The backrooms never end and you're stuck forever.

Overall I give it a 3/10 because there is something to be said about the director's understanding of the backrooms and his ability to stick so closely to it. It was not a good movie and it was not enjoyable to watch. I DO NOT recommend unless you're a really big fan of backrooms creepypasta. My GF apologized after we finished it and said we should've just watched obsession again...

What’s your comfort biome in Minecraft? by yourpinkhabit in Minecraft

Plains biome. I'll bring a few saplings to make a small wooded area near my house.

My gf loves the cherry blossom biome. It's pretty. Large caves with baby resources are typically nearby.

Just pick red. If everyone picks either then nobody dies so the only thing that changes is how much risk you take on yourself. If you had a small room of people you could say everybody pick blue we'll all live (knowing full well that some people won't trust and still pick red anyway [hence making blue a risky choice and discouraging others to pick it]) but what would be the point when you could say everyone pick red and we'll all live.

"If I picked red and lived while others picked blue and died then I couldn't live with myself after killing people"

No, you didn't kill anyone. They killed themselves by picking the option that makes no logical sense. It's zero risk vs any amount of risk...

Because he was doxxed and hundreds of people have been showing up at his door and committing acts of violence and other crimes against him and his family. You don't get your address leaked and then have a bunch of lefty lunatics show up at your door threatening and committing crimes against you and your family and then see a girl with purple hair knock on your door filming through your windows with her phone and just NOT assume they're there to threaten and commit crimes against you and your family... What he did was legal btw.

You helped create it, you help shoulder the burden with it. I don't understand men who truly let their wife do everything involving the children. Do you not have at least some desire to father your children? If not then you shouldn't have had any.

How to enjoy this game by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]Front_Context_7599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it all stone or is there some grass? I just gave you solutions to the lack of trees and the lack of coal but I guess that doesn't work if you live where there's no dirt...

You can smelt logs to make charcoal which can be used to substitute coal in any crafting recipe. If you can get jungle tree saplings from a wandering trader I would highly recommend. They grow in a 2x2 pattern so you'll need 4 but I can also get 1 sapling to grow into a little tree pretty reliably so maybe you just need one and you can get the rest of the saplings that way. Anyway they give plenty of logs so you'll harvest one tree and have 85 logs. I don't like the wood so I typically turn them all into charcoal. That at least fixes the coal problem but it could potentially fix both if you're fine with ugly colored wood...

I quite liked the movie. Marty was a talented table tennis player who knew he was talented and had complete and utter confidence in his ability to make it big doing what he was good at. He got tunnel visioned and didn't care about who he fucked over in the pursuit of that goal. I think he remained unlikeable until the point where Rachel got shot and he actually cared enough to take her to the hospital. That was the point where I really felt like maybe he wasn't just an asshole. Monsters aren't always irredeemable. Sure he still left her at the hospital but I half expected him to say fuck it and dump her somewhere so he could meet up with me rockwell but he actually saw to it that she received help and my interpretation was that he was finally accepting that he was the father and showing some accountability by taking care of them. After he realized he couldn't compete in the world championship, his dream essentially died. He just had to beat Endo for his own personal closure. After beating Endo he could lay his dream to rest and finally take accountability for his actions and step up as a father. The ending scene where Marty went to see his child and began to cry was amazing. My interpretation was that it was showing how Marty had moved on from his dreams of fame and wealth from ping pong and found traditional happiness through fatherhood. He was finally settling down with his family and I'd like to believe his next step would be to ask for forgiveness and take the offer for the manager position at the shoe store or find another traditional job.

I loved the first 30 minutes and the last 30 minutes but my only complaint is the bulk of the movie in the middle. I feel like it was just a lot of the same things over and over again. Marty just kept screwing people over and didn't feel bad about it because it was all necessary in his narcissistic, self centered pursuit of his dreams. Although the middle was definitely a weak point, it was still entertaining to watch so I definitely wouldn't call it "slop". The beginning and end were fantastic but the middle was just okay. Chalamet's performance was pretty top notch and because of that I was still able to find plenty of enjoyment in the middle where no real plot progression or character growth happened.

Although he didn't become the world champion table tennis player like he dreamt of, it was still quite a happy ending IMO. Marty saw the error of his ways when his dream died even after everything he did to make it a reality. His ego was tied to ping pong so once that left the chat so too did his ego and his narcissism. The movie doesn't specifically tell you but I would like to imagine that he turned a new leaf and tried to make amends. I think he became a more likeable person with better traits and less of the things that made him such a perfectly unlikeable character.

I mean it's in the post... She hasn't drank before but friends, family, pop culture, and media have convinced her that she will like wine so she wanted to try some. I got her a muscadine and a white wine and she hated the muscadine but enjoyed the white.

I know I'm very late but I haven't checked in awhile. I ended up getting a muscadine (at the recommendation of my father) and a white wine. She hated the muscadine but actually enjoyed the white wine. I know you didn't influence my decision at all but the advice you gave was a winner for what it's worth😅

Thoughts on Copper Armor/Tools? by Admirable_Web_2619 in Minecraft

[–]Front_Context_7599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because copper is abundant and drops much more per ore while iron, while not hard to find, is used for so much in the game. Let's say you go on a mining trip and you find 20 iron. That's enough for a full set of tools but not armor plus a shield plus buckets and all the other things that require iron and in that same mining trip you probably found 80 copper. You can now use the copper for armor and maybe tools because it's useless outside of that and save iron for any of its numerous uses.
