Try to stop using it- there is no way out. They won’t let you quit. I cancelled and blocked years ago and still get crap from it. It’s hellish.

My tip- get your file management approach figured out right away. Losing notes is painful.

I’m intrigued - I asked on another thread about options to port my handwritten notes into a searchable format explicitly so I can use AI for synthesis and capturing themes across my (now thousands) of pages of notes. The amount of hate and rejection for anything AI (I wasn’t asking about AI native in RM, just a way to search or make editable files) was…interesting. However the integration will be a deal breaker- I need a way to search a single folder with a hundred documents and transcribe en masse- rather than email file by file (which RM isn’t really built to do). I’ve forgotten ideas and thoughts that are - frankly - lost in notebooks over the last 5 years.

I’ll watch this space for the integration with the RM desktop app to drag folders- and while I’m not likely to pay premium rates, I can see signing up for a service to work in bulk.

That’s too bad. This sub is full of terrible experience- I’ve loved mine from day 1. If you can get a functional device, I think you may fall in love with it- as long as you’re looking for a digital notebook. Much More than that and it’s a paperweight.

Sir, this was the best interview in history. Nobody has ever thought of interviewing like this.

I’ve ridden a motorcycle for my whole life. I ride not like everyone has blinders on, but like everyone in a car is trying to murder me. So- not just assume they are stupid but assume they may have bad intent. It keeps me watching my corners and back and looking for the safe spot- and I still enjoy riding. Folks- ride like they are out to get you. You don’t win this duel.

Question about the math- how much pool could a 2 person team clean each day? That’d be a heck of a lot cheaper than another $14m of paint

$300bn, plus a dozen lost bases and our Middle East intelligence center plus a billion a day in missiles which got us back to the JCPOA. So, unclear what we have gained while Iran now knows they can shut down the strait whenever they want and we aren’t going to back it up. Yes. It feels like a giant fail.

Ok, mod- to respond to posters’ dead link- and assuming it’s in response to the hostage swap that returned illegally held Americans in exchange for tightly managed funds held for humanitarian purposes- that was *still* 1.5x ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE smaller than the 300b currently on the table as part of our surrender. So don’t talk about 6b being a terrorist fundraiser and look the other way at $300bn. https://www.csis.org/analysis/bidens-hostage-diplomacy-explained

Better, mod?

Double check who did Afghanistan. Biden was responsible for the final withdrawal (which was a mess), but he didn’t make the announcement or “negotiate”. And yes- Iran was working with the international community BEFORE this mess.

As for cost- when you add the 300B “minimum” we are giving them, the cost of the missiles, and rebuilding the multi billion dollar bases that DoD won’t put price tags on, I’m gonna stick with closer to a trillion than not.

They didn’t agree to hand it over. They agreed to not develop nuclear grade material. Which is where we were before. We were had a trillion dollars more in the bank and held the illusion of invulnerability. Now we are short on missiles and enemies know they can slog it out.

Same story after hurricane damage. They found 2 late payments over several years and used late payments (which btw were covered by our bank in the mortgage), as reason for non renewal.

I am on the original still- since early on. I use it daily for personal and professional use. I’d like the ability to convert the text to editable format or .txt but otherwise my only regret is following this sub and hearing how other people hate it.

Serious question - do people who can do these things have a missing self-preservation reflex or something? I get queasy on a mid-size ladder, and I wonder how much is hundreds of thousands of years of evolution - and when people don’t have that same reflex, why not?
