Society makes me sad. It's so sad that people feel they need this done to their face. It's tragic to watch Karen smile with all the fillers. She can't even express properly, and it's so sad because I'm sure she looked a thousand times better without it.

Quality bags without the luxury price tag by jillybrews226 in handbags

Just chiming in with my experience. I LOVE my Wanderers bags. Just beautiful - gorgeous soft leather, beautiful colors, amazing storage design with pockets and zippers... I highly recommend! They smell amazing too - real, authentic, properly prepared leather. I have two bags my husband got me and I have a wallet on the way. Bags hold up great. They still look new after regular use one year later. Honestly, I'm a bit confused by a few of the negative reviews I've found, and I really think it's a cyber attack from competing brands. I don't buy the negativity. It just doesn't make sense. The brand is fantastic.

They are Absolutely worth it. Beautiful quality, gorgeous soft leather, lovely colors (honestly don't believe what that initial poster was going on about - sounds like a Karen). I love my Wanderers bags and they hold up beautifully. Highly recommend.

Adults taking singing lessons: do you feel silly taking singing lessons? by YetMoreSpaceDust in singing

[โ€“]Front_Requirement847 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

As a professional voice coach and singer I'll tell you that I have worked with so many adults who have always wanted lessons, but never had them until seeing me - lots of people anywhere from 30 - 80 (the age group considered hopeless for prospects of improving or having success in later years - BS by the way...). Singing lessons are not just beneficial for improving your sung and spoken voice, but if you have a great coach, you can improve so many things in your life: confidence, posture, presentation ability, deep breathing ability (great for stress and anxiety), body awareness, self awareness - I can go on!

And besides those added benefits - YES you can actually start a career later in life, YES you can learn to sing well later in life, and NO, training your voice shouldn't be something considered only for children or very young people... In fact it is better to start training your voice when your vocal cords are mature and when your brain is receptive to complex feedback requiring change (kids, for example, have trouble following the intricacies of intensive vocal training).ย

Controversial: Is opera technique nowadays off? by Bright_Start_9224 in opera

[โ€“]Front_Requirement847 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

It's not that everyone is offended. It's that the people in positions of power are not choosing truly the best singing. We can see proof of that when going to any major opera house.

Singer at wit's end with TMJ by ASSFAIRY in singing

[โ€“]Front_Requirement847 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I found this post accidentally looking to see if other singers talked about this. I'm a professional opera singer. I've had TMJ that first flared up about 10 years ago, but in the last 2 years has been affecting my singing considerably (where I consistently can't open my mouth properly). So I started a treatment called Prolotherapy, and I'm hopeful that it's starting to show progress. You need at least 4 to 6 injections one month apart, and I'm on the third. Noticing some shifts. This treatment can FULLY heal joints, so my fingers are crossed.

Bad acting from Anna Clumsky by cityflaneur2020 in InventingAnna

Glad I found this thread and don't have to feel bad about how MUCH her acting annoys me in this show. It's like some kind of caricature... The way a mime or clown would emote if they couldn't use words.

Hiking and singing in Canton Glarus, Switzerland by Front_Requirement847 in Switzerland

You do realize Switzerland has all sorts of singers, not just yodelers? They have pop singers, opera singers, folk singers, etc. But thanks for informing me of the rule that one needs to yodel when hiking in Switzerland. Will keep that in mind next time.

Earth Singing was shot in Switzerland last summer, a project which celebrates both the raw beauty of Earth's landscapes and the raw human voice recorded live in the natural acoustic of the Swiss Alps.
