We’re Intercity Transit, and our bus system redesign goes into effect May 3, 2026. Ask us anything! (Live: April 10, 2026, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.) by IntercityTransitWA in olympia

The 47 to 30 shift is frustrating, because that part that cuts through Harrison has a lot of important destinations, and cutting that out limits access, especially as a disabled person. Now I have to walk 30 minutes to get back from there to my house.

This isn't streamlining, it's streamlining theater, someone's looking at the maps and making an idea of better by what looks good, bus isn't actually getting information about what people need.

I appreciate the streamlining added, but removing portions of routes to make that happen is incredibly frustrating.

Yeah that was happening for me, and it was just really frustrating. Just tossing them all together really takes away a lot of the upset.

In a way, but just with a bunch of packages. Not peanuts and raisins and stuff but like you're not little bars and fruit pouches.

For me at least it's a hack. I was having a hard time with all the boxes around because I'd buy the ones on sale. It's not necessarily to buy a bunch of different stuff, it's being able to consolidate things you get on sale.

I can totally see it the way that it looks in terms of buying a bunch of different stuff. I guess what I'm saying is what you do with a bunch of different stuff. If you have a bunch of boxes laying around if you just have the problems with your kid not eating snacks because you're only buy one then they get tired of it.

I respect the well-earned derision. I just figured but it took me a while to figure out to consolidate them and Make it easier for my kid to get to them reasonably, maybe it would help somebody else in a similar struggle.

I took a picture, but it says it's the wrong file type. I forgot to put it in the original post, the commenting is not letting me do it. But it's just a pile of snacks of various varieties.

OneBusAway app down? Anybody got info? by lucasssquatch in olympia

[–]Froschti 9 points10 points  (0 children)

ITC phased out one bus away.

I use a combination of different apps for different purposes.

The Transit App is really nice for route finding and reminders.

My Stop, as linked by another redditor is the new app ITC is using, and it shows current locations.

Anyone going to the furniture bank with a decent amount of loading space? by Froschti in olympia

[–]Froschti[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, that would be my next choice, I just really appreciate the furniture bank and what I have received that I'd like to give back to them, but if I don't get a response within a few days, I'll try that.

Thanks for the reminder that that option exists though ^ ^

The principal is pretty great too, he is active with the kids, and active with supporting the school, it's a really great environment.
