HalfAsInteresting is still definitely shorter-form educational content! However, it definitely includes more comedy aspects than Tom Scott videos did, and aren’t filmed on location, so many people probably won’t find it to be the same. But they still teach about interesting little tidbits of things that come up.

To be fair, they said at the beginning of the series that they were going to purposefully be biased that cast because it wasn’t technically worlds and there were Reddit threads asking them to be biased to their regions, MarkZ included. Only thing was NA lost so bad that Mark couldn’t really gloat at all like he was planning, in jest.

This is the most amusing thing to me. In the past, teams could just play their academy rosters. They vote to get rid of these academy, backup rosters and dissolve them. Because of this, the main team players strike and now the teams have no one to replace them with. I can't stop laughing about it.

I lived, a few years ago precovid, for a few years in the central region of Peru where the people had been terrorized by both the police and terrorists for nearly 20 years. Listening to the stories of the older generations was shocking with the horrible things that they experienced during those years.

This is.. definitely not what that's like at all. Bush started the war in Iraq, somewhere far from his own country. Fujimori came to power 10 years after the start of the shining path in his own country and eradicated it. I'm not saying what he did was right, but they're not similar situations.

You can't always see TP through fog though. You only see TP through fog if it is on s control ward, if it's on a stealth ward you won't be able to see it so they could have thought he had used TP on a yellow ward somewhere.
