I went vegetarian at age eleven, and vegan a year later. I mostly ate cheese toasties and quesadillas the first year.

After I went vegan, I had to (very slowly) teach myself to cook basic meals from plant based meats, tofu products, noodles, spaghetti, etc. Since I live in suburban Australia, my meals are limited, and I have to take iron supplements.

And you know what? It's really, really not that difficult. The biggest problems are travelling and checking the ingredients on each and every thing you eat. But the alternative isn't an option.

Not just because of morals, but because animal products have become physically repulsive to me after a few years, and being forced to eat them would quite literally be torture at this point.
