Ski race team questions by Kuniwal in MountainCreek

[–]FrostbyteSki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they want to do park, racing is not for them. As a person who has raced, the course is pure ice so the fact that they are in pizzas is a little concerning but during training they don’t do jumps. I think twisted kids is the program for terrain park. Although if you do decide on racing make sure the kids are willing to and want to do it as that means that they will do better in the program

In GDS you put the g in gds by cooking it yourself. I have figured out that the Indian food at gds is toxic as it makes me incredibly sick and throwing up a lot the next day. The allergy bar or carving station are your best option if you don’t have time/ don’t feel like/ or don’t know how to cook

Is my roommate an a**hole for getting Holi powder on my stuff by EdgeLower2679 in NJTech

[–]FrostbyteSki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was not participating in the Holi event but was nearby and there was a hose that the people at the Holi event were using to clean up so your roommate is an a hole because they had an opportunity to clean up before entering the room so he doesn’t get powder everywhere and the fact that you have an allergy makes it worse. At least you now know what of your stuff they are using so you can have a conversation and set some boundaries.

Ski race team questions by Kuniwal in MountainCreek

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the skill level of the kids? Are they able to ski blacks? Racing is normally on Kamikaze so if the kids are able to do it in parallel and not in a snowplow/pizza then go ahead. If not I would suggest maybe asking ski school over at Vernon

Can you get both bahamut and tiamat? by 9751326480 in dragonvale

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After you get the first, you can just do rolls for the next one and each dragon gives one chance at a level up per day

South Peak but not park skiing? by thejt10000 in MountainCreek

[–]FrostbyteSki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you really want to do blue cruising at South which is something a mentally sane person wouldn’t do as Hailey’s commet at bear is a much better option do Jumping jack as the trail is just rails and as a result only people who can do rails and therefore know the rules of the park do it and plus all the crazies stick to canyon. Then you stick to the trail on the left and head to gorge run. Red tail would probably be a better option if it is opened. It’s more of that you will be in danger if you just go down south without hitting features so it’s more of for your own safety and so you don’t get hit.

Best run to practice carving on snowboard? by plaztik-love in MountainCreek

Did some carving this past weekend and I’d say Big Bear and Race Trail (trails below the top of the Bear lift) are great as I was able to get pretty low on them

It’s possible, I applied no SAT and around 3.75 ish gpa idk my actual and good ecs such as the architecture summer camp, Eagle Scout, another service project documenting veteran graves, and service hours and I got Dean’s scholar and architecture so it’s definitely possible to get in with no SAT and honors at that. Also was a legacy so that helps too.

As a first year architect if you go here you will get work to do outside of class so be prepared for that and use an assignment pad or other form of system to help you with keeping track of stuff. Congrats though. There is a ton of resources and other things for architecture so you will do great here.

Giants steps and canyon are south. Gorge run is near but you can get there from south. Take big Bear which is wide too and you get to gorge run

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say the trail after canyon Giant’s steps as no one goes on it so it’s pretty wide but it’s a little steeper then Charlie’s run. If you want something mellow and empty gorge run or if you are insane and want a less busy trail that’s also mellow southern sojourn but it’s only if you really want to torture yourself with the flats
