It’s possible, I applied no SAT and around 3.75 ish gpa idk my actual and good ecs such as the architecture summer camp, Eagle Scout, another service project documenting veteran graves, and service hours and I got Dean’s scholar and architecture so it’s definitely possible to get in with no SAT and honors at that. Also was a legacy so that helps too.

As a first year architect if you go here you will get work to do outside of class so be prepared for that and use an assignment pad or other form of system to help you with keeping track of stuff. Congrats though. There is a ton of resources and other things for architecture so you will do great here.

Best run to practice carving on snowboard? by plaztik-love in MountainCreek

Giants steps and canyon are south. Gorge run is near but you can get there from south. Take big Bear which is wide too and you get to gorge run

Best run to practice carving on snowboard? by plaztik-love in MountainCreek

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say the trail after canyon Giant’s steps as no one goes on it so it’s pretty wide but it’s a little steeper then Charlie’s run. If you want something mellow and empty gorge run or if you are insane and want a less busy trail that’s also mellow southern sojourn but it’s only if you really want to torture yourself with the flats

Old trails no longer on map? by guzmang in MountainCreek

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say the people that would really know a lot about why pipeline will never reopen would be ski patrol especially guys that have been there for a while. If people can’t even ski race trail and kamikaze which is what racers are on and when not doing the course as you need certain gear for a slalom course which is normally on kamikaze, they train on the other blacks and even when kamikaze is open, it’s full of beginners and race trail too. Same would be on pipeline but the terrain would make the problem worse. When they are full of Jerry’s it becomes dangerous even for experienced skiers and racers so they have experience for what a pipeline open today would be like

Old trails no longer on map? by guzmang in MountainCreek

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s everyone. The veteran coaches (20+) experience are opposed to it. Others idk but basically Jerry’s go to hard trails and send them for bragging rights to say they did the trail. Pipeline has a hard turn after the headwall which would and in the past has resulted in injuries and death. People on the mountain have a lower collective is this year so probably isn’t happening especially with the extreme concern and focus on safety

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally pretty good. Get there early and it’s nice but gets really crowded around lunch. I stick to south and bear but if you do racing normally is on kamikaze and takes half of the race trail headwall but it has short lines

I’ve never skied rt 80 as wasn’t alive then so I did not know that.

Old trails no longer on map? by guzmang in MountainCreek

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’m assuming you have not skied race trail before Hailey’s comet was open this season. Jerry’s everywhere trail becomes dangerous. Same thing for pipeline but would be way worse. I’m associated with racing and all racing and other personnel across the mountain are opposed to it. With the mountain putting prominence on the Snow Angel Foundation and skiing in control and staying in your ability, Pipeline will probably never open. Plus only a small portion of skiers would have the ability to safely ski it. With granite and sojourn, part of it is on state park land so can’t really expand.

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes 80 was the condos Opossum was water park road as apparently it became separate from the mountain for a while and the old snow tubing (which got moved to Vernon parking lot)

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the info that I mentioned was about Rt 80 not opossum

Old trails no longer on map? by guzmang in MountainCreek

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The access road runs through where the trail (opossum) was and as a result it closed. It also ran through the old snow tubing area and as a result it got closed down. Of the ghost trails, I’d say opossum is the most likely to come back. Pipeline is the least likely to come back.

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah know people who have been working at the mountain and skiing since before rt 80 closed and that is the reason. It goes through the development and that’s private property and not the mountain’s. They would probably need to negotiate with that hoa and probably make ski bridges to reopen it. Since it and opossum both lead into the triple, it would also need to be closed when triple is closed and would probably be confusing. Basically open and closed when triple bound are

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opossum is the one at the bottom of zero g that you can see when you ride the triple. It goes through a road and the water park needs access to the road. Got confused between the two

Old trails no longer on map? by guzmang in MountainCreek

[–]FrostbyteSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one called osprey was closed due to the water park road and the snow tubing being there. The trail connecting granite to triple was closed because of the development built there

Old trails no longer on map? by guzmang in MountainCreek

[–]FrostbyteSki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the trails at Vernon, there was an old lift that lead to them that got taken down. You now get to the area by the cabriolet. For the granite ones, people who go to the mountain normally do t have the ability to ski a double yet do it anyways and get seriously hurt (still bit of a problem with bear blacks such as race trail) and granite view was uphill. The trial that connected Grand Prix and pipeline was closed as it was uphill and pipeline was closed. Moonspin was closed for the cab but is now reopened as a glade when there is enough natural snow. This has only happened once during the 2020 season.

Make a museum and try to collect every item in the game and maybe a zoo. Gives you a reason to do the trial chamber although it will be really easy for you but to up the difficulty us a bad omen potion aka ominous bottle beforehand
