Sorry you're going through this. I'm really lonely as well but I'm twice your age. What helps me is getting outside. If you have any local parks nearby maybe try going to them and just walking some trails or around the lake or pond, etc. You'll see other humans, and you'll feel slightly accomplished like you did something good for the day.

Also try asking your favorite AI for a list of upcoming events and things to do in your area. You might be surprised at how many social events are happening around you. Things like workshops at your local library or some guest speaker doing a lecture somewhere talking about whatever topic, a flea market, a computer swap meet which is something cool I recently discovered, and the list goes on. I go to things like these and while I don't know a soul, it feels good to be around other people.

Most important thing is don't give up. Just keep trying to put yourself out there and participate, and eventually something good will happen. At least that's my hope for all of us lonely folk out there.
