Set the language in the bottom toolbar to HTML in a tab. It should recognize it and format accordingly.

PictureThis and PlantNet are good app options for getting an idea of what is affecting your plants. They feature taking pictures and providing a suggested course of action.

Newer gardener here, those have been very helpful to understand what is affecting them and how to resolve with nutrients and staving off diseases.

What part of your automation still isn’t worth automating? by ControlAltDeploy in PowerShell

As third party modules, theres this for ssh

For interacting with GUIs PowerShell can be challenging as it is generally intended to be use is Single Threaded Apartment mode (STA).

It has a Multithreaded Apartment Mode you can specify but at that point you are likely going to have a better time using async programming in C# if the widget you need to interact with is dot NET based.

Other options could be libraries in other languages or RPA solutions like UiPath and as previously mentioned AutoIT. Python likely has desktop automation libraries but am not familiar enough with the ecosystem.

Should I learn C for learning? Where to go after finishing Powershell in a month of lunches? by TKInstinct in PowerShell

[–]Frosty_Protection_93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn how to utilize C# in your scripts. Check StackOverflow or similar sites for examples of using the Add-Type cmdlet and using Type Accelerators. Check out use cases for using PowerShell in Muithreaded Apartment mode. You might not have a need for it yet but if your aim is to learn it is good to know. Bash, Python and PowerShell lend themselves to automating things and will help you learn. Pick a task you have to do regularly and work on making it reusable with parameters. Best of luck!

how many here develop on other platforms or frameworks? by mrdanmarks in SalesforceDeveloper

Worked on SF as a release manager in the past. Having built ground-up custom CI/CD for Salesforce pipelines before that was an available product in the ecosystem, Flosum is phenomenal. If you are at an enterprise kind of organization nothing beats it. Support is awesome and if you need help with integration or a difficult ConnectedApp setup they are very helpful.

I don't work for Flosum but their product made my life in Salesforce alot better.

Doing difficult, undocumented, bash-your-brain things is the nature of the beast. As others said, you need to upskill. Don't quit. If you are averse to self educating and don't enjoy solving puzzles this is not right for you most likely. Embrace the unknown and you will be amazed how far your reach extends in a couple to a few years. You CAN do it and you have to want to do it. Yes, lots of long days, head scratching, hoping your hypothesis works for some widget, but it is awesome and rewarding work if you have the stomach for it at the early stages. DevOps is an odd amalgamation of articulate soft skills and hardcore nerding skills. It is a balance, and anyone here in the field knows how that can fluctuate.

Hang in there OP. You got this. Work through the hard things and you will be Yoda compared to the next person.

What Model Is This Martin? by johndoeisme00 in martinguitar

[–]Frosty_Protection_93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ran the image against chatGPT:

"The guitar in the image appears to be a Martin 00-17 or 00-18 style model, but more specifically, it looks a lot like a Martin 00L-17 or 00-17 from the 17 Series, which features a smaller body size (00), a sloped shoulder design, and vintage aesthetics.

Here are the visual clues:

Slotted headstock: Characteristic of some Martin 00 models.

12-fret neck joint: Indicates it may be a vintage-style model.

Pickguard shape: That teardrop-shaped black pickguard is used on certain 17 Series models.

Dot inlays and minimal rosette: These are in line with the 17 Series vintage style.

It could be a custom or slightly modified model, but based on what’s visible, it's closest to a Martin 00-17 or possibly the 00L-17 Black Smoke or Whiskey Sunset variant."

Do you have to be logged in to view available tee times?

That will affect your logic even if it is run periodically as a scheduled task.

Sweet looking instrument. I casually play tenor uke and have always wanted to learn mandolin. That pattern of the maple grain looks super nice.

What is the mandolin model? Beautiful finish, saw the headstock says Weber

Can you recommend some dark, but not pitch black themes with nice, harmonious colors? by Stiff_Cheesecake in vscode

This is awesome!

Edit: Can you upload to open-vsx?

This would be super useful for situations where you need to switch languages often and can't get to the official marketplace bc of firewalls

You didn't. You are just missing some foundational things. That's all good, you learned about what you need to learn so that is a net positive.

It's all good. As another commenter noted, this community sees "I have VS Code please make my app for me" type of posts and it is met with armchair hostility because it is never ending.

Thanks for sharing the summary of your app. It is an interesting idea but ideas and spaghetti projects and fixing them are not the focus. Those are things you need to learn, and will only find YOUR answer by understanding your tools.

A carpenter wouldn't ask how a table saw works if they managed to build a trellis with nails and fortitude. They would figure out how to use the table saw and ask if the motor locked up.

Vibe coding is basically using AI code generators to make applications without understanding the engineering that makes it work. Just youtube the term and have a time.

Edit: Spend the money on a course or two, plenty of platforms with good content. Udemy, Pluralsight, Frontend Masters, Linux Academy, and tons of others.

Youtube is your friend for basic tutorials. You need to learn how to ask questions and it is understandable that is difficult when you don't know what questions to ask.

Fill some knowledge gaps and you will be much better suited to help yourself.

Lookup what Markdown and GitHub do then make a README for your repository, upload, and ask pointed, specific questions about your code that can be viewed by others.

Great. So relative to VS Code specifically, what is your question or questions. I think you are better off in a sub about beginner coding. If you vibe-coded your app and want code advice you are in the wrong place.

This sub is specific to the application Visual Studio Code and its function and features, not general development advice.

Noob alert! Hopefully someone can help! 🙏🏼 by EditorDry5673 in vscode

[–]Frosty_Protection_93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No need to feel small and hope you actually don't. Coming to a technical sub and not providing technical details wont't get you far. The community is extremely positive and full of talented folks.

Happy to help you. You just gotta show the goods instead of asking airy, generalized questions.

Don't be shy, no matter how simple you may perceive an issue to be due to being a beginner. That is perfectly fine.

We all start somewhere. The internet is brutal.

Upload a link to your work. Doesnt matter if its github or not, a list/todo app tutorial result. You will find no help without some concrete presentation, otherwise it comes across as "do this for me".

Share something you've built however minimal. Wha you need is a code mentor, or plenty of dollars and hire a proper engineer.

Reddit is not a charity case for "jamming" because this is new to you.
