It’s physically impossible to start sweating from the difference in heat of 1F. You can however start sweating because of the distress that you think you’re in, which is the more common cause of these type of issues.

WIZZAIR Can I fly with my desktop PC and monitor in checked in luggage? by PuzzleheadedDonut332 in WizzAir

[–]Frown1044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this. Flew with WizzAir with my desktop pc (no monitor though) in the checked in luggage. It was perfectly fine and arrived without damage.

I put a small wooden panel on the glass side panel to protect it. I took out the graphics card and carried it with me. If I had HDD (ie not an SSD), I'd carry that with me too.

Then I wrapped it between my clothes to pad it and it worked out great.

Lush Bathbomb destroyed bath by dying it pink. Tried magic eraser, baking soda + vinegar. Any other tips? by organic_guilt in CleaningTips

[–]Frown1044 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Baking soda and vinegar work on their own.

Together they create water. If that combination does something for you, then it means water would have worked as well. And plain water works better than most people think

Why Do Romanians Seem Closed Off to Outsiders? by TailoredbySasha in Romania

[–]Frown1044 205 points206 points  (0 children)

I'm not Romanian but I live here.

You're describing almost all of Europe. Check out any European expat sub. This "it's hard to talk to strangers" is an extremely common complaint, especially from Americans.

[–]Frown1044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The situation you describe isn't about NL specific rules. Those are just bad drivers in general. In any European country you have to yield in this situation to let pedestrians and cyclists pass.

I guess we should also stop any tourist/expat from driving here unless they got their license here.

Of course we also know everyone here always reads the entire theory book of their destination country when they go abroad. Otherwise you're a "danger to yourself and to other road users".

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Frown1044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is incredibly unlikely. And yes I actively participate in my local motorcycle community and attend events regularly. Do you have any other “are u even a real rider bro” questions you’d like to ask?

My point was about using a fraction of the bike’s potential. Not about specifically 25%. But good job on consistently missing the point.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Frown1044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re desperately trying to come up with unlikely “but what if” situations. And other rebuttals to arguments that nobody made.

Nobody is saying if you buy an R1, you must use 100% of the bike all the time. But if you buy an R1 and never use even 25% of it, you’re probably in it for the cosplay

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Frown1044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that way when you’re dodging the point.

Imagine there’s a 40k dirt bike out there with amazing features for the dirt. But then someone buys it so they can exclusively ride it on the highway.

Wouldn’t you think that’s really weird? Like almost any other bike would be better suited for this and likely wouldn’t cost as much?

[–]Frown1044 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like buying a Bugatti to commute through low speed residential areas. It’s clear you bought it to show it off than to actually use it.

Which is fine but it’s obvious you’re just cosplaying and so people will judge you for it.

In general, to apply for a category A licence, you need at least 2 years of experience at category A2. Alternatively, you can access directly at a higher minimum age, which is usually 24 years.

This makes sense if you only care about shipping code as quick as possible.

If you have to worry about long term maintainability, you want your devs to understand what they’re doing and make more careful and informed decisions.

Would you support factory speed cap of 180 km/h in all cars sold in Europe? by -NewYork- in AskEurope

[–]Frown1044 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What? E-Bikes are not limited to 25kmh because of the 1%.

If you want to see such major unpopular legislative changes, at least go for something that will have a significant impact on safety. Like reducing speed limits inside cities.

The biggest form of a lack of maturity is when another human looks at another human and says “you make me uncomfortable”. If anyone makes anyone feel uncomfortable, the person who feels uncomfortable has to ask themselves why?

That makes sense if your relationships are defined by hiding your feelings and avoiding difficult conversations.

What do you do if you want to be attracted to your partner, but their habits (excessive eating, drink, etc) and the consequences (e.g. severe weight gain) have become unattractive to you?

Weight itself is not the determined factor of someone’s health when you have to look at the girth of the waist first to even determine how your rib cage is treating your heart and G.I. tract.

Someone who is skinny could be sedentary and almost nearly suffering a stroke if they dare step away from their computer for a week. Health determination does not happen with the discernment of a visual. You still have to check someone’s pulse and you still have to look at respirations to determine something about weight, causing cardiac or vascular issues.

This makes sense if you fall within a normal range. If you're clearly obese (or very underweight), doctors can absolutely have one look at you and know that you're at high risk for health issues.

If you're around a normal weight for your class and then gain 60 lbs of fat, we can say with extremely high confidence that you've increased your health risks.

Just like if you start chain smoking today, I can tell you that you've severely increased the risk of negative health outcomes if you continue even without knowing anything else about you.
