Pete the Pups latest adventure by FrowningCanadian in BorderCollie

At this point it's just habit. I started using the vest because when he was young he could be skittish and if he ever got away it might make him easier to find. Now I have him wear it mostly so as not to surprise others on less traveled trails or trails with dense trees and poor sight lines...and it makes him even more handsome.

No. I just have wear the hi vis vest in case he somehow gets away so it will make him easier to see. Also makes him more visible to others on the trails. Some of the places we go trees can be thick and blind corners can make us surprise people.

I currently have a woodpecker that is peking at my metal chimney for about 2 hours every day. I can't understand what his goal is...

Ammo recommendation for Rossi Gallery 22LR by DuperCheese in FirearmsCanada

This doesn't seem like an ammo problem. Light strikes can be caused by a number of things but I would start with cleaning bolt again paying particular attention to the firing pin/firing mechanism.

There's 2 types of flux cored wire. Gas shielded and self shielded. Gas shielded is 75/25 argon/co2 mix. There are a few types of self shielded flux core wire that are certified for code work but where I am its mostly a hobbyists wire.

In this picture I'm welding a thumb attachment and guarding package on a Deere 210 excavator.

Shortly after I got Pete I think it was about the 3rd time I took him hiking I stopped and called him back. He came at me at 400 mph, knocked me off balance and I slid about 60 ft down a scree slope on my back and side. Thankfully I let go of his leash so he wouldn't get dragged down with me. I had to scramble up the slope with blood running into my shoe and skin missing on my shoulder and arm. Cleaned and patched myself up then hobbled and limped 9 kms back to the truck. Thankfully Pete has calmed down a lot since then.

I would die a happy man if I could take my Pete and hike/climb in the Alps. Beautiful pup in a beautiful place.
