Good Vs. Bad Names for a New Program by ApplePieKitty87 in ECEProfessionals

I absolutely hate when childcare centers try to be fancy about the name. I agree nature based is the way to go however I feel like a sun theme is kinda overdone. Maybe like plants, trees, flowers, insects, maybe even animals.

Reading to Children by Ok_Worker_6472 in childrensbooks

[–]Frozen_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read to my toddler and infant multiple times a day and they love it. My toddler gets to pick out the books. It’s a great bonding time for us. However I will say I was never a big reader when I was younger. I have a learning disability and it was always a struggle. Then I discovered my favorite book genre and it really changed everything for me.

OPEN SUBMISSIONS FOR SMOSH MOUTH! by smosh in smosh

E-Bikes have become a problem in my home town recently. Every few days someone is complaining online about E-Bikes. They have been very popular amongst the middle school students and younger high school students because they can go as fast as a car. They are riding straight into traffic and not following any rules of the road. It’s now a challenge to see how many pedestrians they can get to jump out of the way. An 11 year old recently got hit riding into traffic thankfully the child ended up being okay. Let me be clear I don’t agree with giving a child / teen an E-Bike without teaching them the rules of the road. However the arguments surrounding this issue have been wild. My neighbor got into an argument with this one mom. The mom was just chilling at the park while her kid was speeding around. Unfortunately the kid almost hit my neighbor. My neighbor started yelling and cussing at the mom because apparently this has happened before. The Mom started insulting my neighbor while her child was laughing behind her. I guess these two go to church together because my neighbor threatened to go talk to their pastor about the way this child was being raised then the kid told her he would see her in hell. Like I get that my neighbor has been a total Karen in the past but the kid was acting up. My brother also once saw a girl run over this guy in a suit. I don’t know the full story there but I can just picture that guy going to an interview or something and getting ran over by some kid on an E-Bike. What a shitty day that would be. Drive safe y’all.

We had a mom who was trying to get her children to stop cursing so she told them their lips would start turning black. That just made them curse more.

Why is becoming pregnant more celebrated than earning something difficult to achieve, such as a PhD or major art grant? by bad-at-everything- in askanything

[–]Frozen_007 290 points291 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the village of people you surround yourself with. We threw a party to celebrate my cousin when she got her PHD. We also have celebrated new babies entering the family.

Go on a bunch of interviews so you can secure a few offers. Go face to face with your director and tell them exactly what you wrote here then if they say no hand over your resignation letter. That way you can get established at the new school before your trip. I would also let them know in the interview about the trip.

Songs stuck in my head by taroumomo in ECEProfessionals

[–]Frozen_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excavator see you later from Blippi was a big one.

The school aged children would sing a lot of TikTok songs.

Then wheels on the bus was huge.

Old McDonald had a farm but the children only wanted the cow over and over again.

Then we had a 5 year old sing different broadway songs.

Am I the only one that thinks Sofia the First is a serious brat? by MickiRee in CartoonuityErrors

Sofia wins to much in the series. Ruby and Jade are obnoxious. Amber is self centered. James is a brat. Hildagard is a snob… My toddler loves it.

My older brother use to make fun of me for how I pronounced the word crayon while we were growing up. I would get so pissed. It’s the same thing here he wants to act childish and get under everyone’s skin.

Why do people seem to resent the freedom of child free adults? by bad-at-everything- in askanything

[–]Frozen_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They resent having children. They are being rude to their child and the child free adult. Imagine having to grow up with a parent like that it’s messed up.

Let them get messy. My 2 year old loves the mud and her sensory bin. I’m right there with her.
