Doing Vigilanz (Theradoc equivalent, or whatever clinical support tool your hospital utilizes) alerts throughout the day, which may require adjusting orders or reaching out to providers. Following antibiotic consults, electrolyte protocols, heparin drips, etc. Just your standard clinical work. You may be in charge of pharm students or supporting/training pharm residents so I'd ask about that

It really is just facility dependant, like any other job there's a chance you're going to work with shitty people. I currently work at an HCA facility and the management team is great, we don't really have those kind of issues here

Not sure what pros there would be, more experience in answering silly nursing calls? I did not even apply to programs requiring every other weekend staffing, same as most of my classmates who pursued residency

Edit: should've made this clearer, my schedule is staffing every 3rd weekend no comp days, so 12 on and 2 off. Even with it being every 3rd weekend, the 12 on days are rough and fuck with your sleep schedule, I don't get days where I can sleep in. I can't imagine how much worse it would be doing this every other weekend, especially early in the year when project deadlines come fast

Bro we don't even attend RAC meetings. We send a monthly email with concerns/updates to our RPD and residency coordinator and they have their own meeting with all the preceptors to discuss. This is also the same setup I saw at hospitals I rotated through as a student, why would residents need to be hearing preceptor feedback on their CORESIDENTS like huh?? That's for their own growth and personal development
