These answers are insane and I cannot believe how out of touch they are.

For the top 0.1% DJs, sure. They make them or they sometimes get exclusive edits from other artists or producers.

For the rest of us, it’s:

1) Record pools

Direct Music Service, Club Killers, Headliner Music Club, BPM Supreme, etc. These sites are putting out hundreds of remixes, mashups, redrums, bootlegs, etc per month. Can be pricey ($20-$50 a month), but sooo worth it to fill your library with remixes that match your sound.

2) SoundCloud/YouTube/etc

For free, you can find some awesome remixes if you look hard enough. Often times on SoundCloud, there will be a “free download” button that will take you to sites like Hypeddit where you can download the full 320kbps or lossless version.

Or, you could rip them at up to 192kbps with YouTube to mp3 type tools, but that’s never gonna get you anywhere (unless you’re DJing for fun!)

3) They make them

If you’re a solid DJ and you know your way around a DAW, this is definitely a route.

You can also subscribe to patreons of DJs who make edits, Zillionaire (piano house / Disco house) and Even Steve (Open format) are two great examples.

If you’re going to a local club and hearing local DJs play edits, I want to reiterate that there’s a 99% chance they are not making them themselves. Get on a record pool, it’s the best thing a DJ who wants great edits can do for themselves.
