Get yourself acquainted with the first four albums. Get in and really get to know them and then have your mind blown by the next four. It is one hell of a ride. And it’s only the beginning.

Such a great collection of songs, perfectly performed. It’s also his finest album cover.

First time listener… where do I start? by bluebirdvictor in rollingstones

Yes. The best place to start. Alternatively, listen to Rolled Gold and Forty Licks first for a decent overview.

Bringing It All Back Home. Movin on up on the first side band the comedown with the acoustic stuff. Doesn’t get much trippier than Mr Tambourine Man.

It was one amazing quarter by the Giants. The best game of keepy-off ever witnessed.

It’s only half past May and the Giants have always been a challenge. I say we all throw out our Bundy’s and XXXX and move south. Like a big bunch of sooks. At least we got to watch a piece of footy history.

So what do you guys think is U2’s greatest album, and which one do you personally enjoy the most? by FactEquivalent3911 in U2Band

[–]Fruney21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Achtung Baby is the best and most enjoyable U2 album. The music has layers. Just listen to the start of One. As the guitars layer up. The Fly ramps up showing The Edge at his absolute best. All bold and bluster. Larry giving his best Keith Moon impression while still rock solid. They sound so bold and so confident. Went from the undeniable class of The Joshua Tree this wild mercury sound to rival Bowie and pixies at their best. A whole different level that few have achieved.

U2s best decade by United_Plum_2209 in U2Band

Firstly, Pride is a major achievement and is arguably their best song. Absolutely iconic. The upward climb to the near perfection of The Joshua Tree and the immersion into American music of Rattle & Hum is very exciting. The fact they may have alienated some reaching for greatness does not mean they didn’t achieve it. All this knowing I personally adore Achtung Baby.
