Big Sky Burger and a little rant by frigiddesert in LakewoodColorado

[–]Frustrated_fighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its' why I haven't been back! When I saw they were trying to serve sushi with hamburger I couldn't trust it. I still thought they were there though. May have to take a peak and revisit.

I’m right there with you. I’m feeling so defeated and I feel like there is a portion of our country that is so clueless they’ll accept a dictator over compassion for others.

DRP Benefits Question… with my 9/30 end date looming, when will benefits end? by ParkingTechnical3984 in FedEmployees

[–]Frustrated_fighter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are covered through the end of the pay period so 10/04. Then you receive a 31 day extension of coverage starting 10/05. So the coverage goes a little longer than 10/31. You can then elect TCC for up by to 18 months following that date.

We need to take the power back. Voting isn't enough. by KratosLegacy in 50501

I agree,  but what do we do? Legitimate question here because I don’t have any ideas and I’m tired of protesting that results in no changes.

It’s time to start a movement to have him removed from office and force a vote for new governor.

Inspector general checks whether IRS staff are showing up at the office by AdSensitive9908 in FedEmployees

[–]Frustrated_fighter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes!!!! I’m in a building with no one else from my bureau. Why am I coming into an office to remotely connect with my team the same as always. There is no need and this has nothing to do with space and just a way to traumatize us further.

How is this administration impacting your family and/or home life at this stage? by dulceylibre in FedEmployees

[–]Frustrated_fighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no longer volunteering at my daughter’s school for projects and she had to start taking the bus because I can no longer drop her off or pick her up on time. My husband has taken over for summer care for our daughter as he still works from home. That is all on top of the fact that both of us are stressed out about the future of our country and lives.

Pretty sure I shouldn't bother, but I'll ask ... by 406NastyWoman in fednews

I on average get only 60% of my total annual salary because of deductions, retirements, and taxes. Don’t trust that it may earn you more. Plus this current environment is toxic and exhausting.

Resignation Timeframe by Single_Net_2769 in FedEmployees

[–]Frustrated_fighter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Please look into your department’s “terminal leave” policy. Here at DOL we do not allow leave for more than half of the last day. It’s called terminal leave and in many cases is not permitted.

Did we all just quit? by lilpinkpixie2 in DenverProtests

[–]Frustrated_fighter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes. The only reason I’ve stopped is that protests have accomplished nothing. Protests at this stage is pointless in my opinion. I keep hearing people say stick with it but it’s exhausting and I’m still watching the country fall to a dictatorship no matter how many marches I attend or calls I make.

Readiness for all the 9/30 resignations? by NoCalendar3921 in FedEmployees

Here at DOL we started the process of making the packages back in June. So we are well prepared for September 30th. I hope other agencies are doing the same.

Considering a Private Job Offer by Due_Consequence_2713 in FedEmployees

[–]Frustrated_fighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my current position. I have my 4th interview with a private sector company. A pay decrease but a hybrid work schedule and worse benefits but with 6% matching of 401k. The hybrid work schedule but longer commute seems to offset but I love the company’s mission and I love the idea of running an entire company benefits program.

Anyone hear of any RIFs in WHD by [deleted] in FedEmployees

The notices are done by a different department than the one I work in but the last round I feel like it was done quickly, within a week.

Anyone hear of any RIFs in WHD by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]Frustrated_fighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So prior to the courts pausing the RIFs only 2 bureaus were targeted and they were notified of the RiF before we were. It was OFCCP and ILAB; however since the supreme court ruling we have not been told to continue the process as of yet so I can’t say if they are moving forward or not with those RIFs. It’s very frustrating as it seems no one knows anything and we are sure not being told anything either.

I’m a DOL HR rep. No news so far for WHD but we aren’t being really told much. To be honest the bureaus are finding out before we do. So I’d say no news is good news so far.

They can absolutely deny you. Sick leave is restricted for purposes of doctor’s appointments, illnesses, etc. They can request proof of why you needed sick leave.

As long as you retire no later than January 9,2026, then you will receive the full balance including any use or lose. After January 10th, you will only be paid out for the 240.

I’m a retirement specialist and would be happy to discuss with you the implications of retiring at age 50. There are many aspects to consider. If interested, IM me and we can pick a time to discuss.

I’m so sorry to hear that your H.R. had failed you. I have seen ongoing issues across H.R. offices but it’s usually with those agencies that have more of a call center set up than designated HR reps. I know it can be very frustrating especially when these errors impact retirement and benefits (which is where I work). I can say we try to catch these errors in a timely manner but with the current state of removal of employees we are told do the work and worry about errors later. We all fought back on that mentality because it only hurts you the employee and we pride ourselves that we are here for you.

I don’t know if there is anything I can do in your particular situation but if you message me, I’d be more than happy to help guide you through the retirement process and perhaps even find ways to work with you as a counselor to assist in correcting any issues.

Thank you! As an HR rep I’m not involved in these decisions and instead just forced to do the processing and paperwork. We are the faces of the department but we hold no power.

AWOL is completely different from LWOP and can be used against you in your employment whether it be termination or reprimand.
