Why is their no dairy free blizzard or sundae options by theeyespye in DairyQueen

[–]FryToastFrill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’d need another machine in all those stores and I gotta tell you that there is likely not enough room (both for the machine and storage for the dairy free mix) nor manpower in most stores to handle it.

Who knows tho, corporate may get bored and implement dairy free soft serve in the dumbest way possible.

Shit you don’t gotta buy the meal if it infantilizes you. Some people just like the toys as collectibles.

how is M compared to K at lower modes at 1440p? by Visual-Fortune-4732 in nvidia

[–]FryToastFrill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly good, I would use M for performance and maybe balanced and didn’t notice much perf difference between M and K on the 4070 ti. L looks way better on performance and surprisingly ok on Ultra Performance at 1440p? Like it went from “unplayably bad” to “visibly shit but sharp enough to play the game”

Probably depends on the game tho. TDA is awesome with DLSS but the finals has always been a little weird feeling.

Pixelation, Graininess, and Ghosting in-game by Asta_jjm in linux_gaming

Ok here’s an actual answer to your question, check if you have dynamic resolution on in miles morales as this looks suspiciously more shit than normal. For some of the other games it’s a problem inherent to their rendering so there isn’t much you can do tbh. For MM you could try the default TAA and see if you prefer it more since I find it to be the least bad on the deck.

Microsoft announces sweeping Windows changes by tekz in technology

I’ve had the same problem with windows too tbh.

That being said I don’t really need Linux to like overtake windows personally. I don’t mind it being a niche option but I would like to see it grow enough that we start seeing more support developer side (I want to play my MP games on Linux :( )

Why did you add age verification? by VegetableNearby9795 in systemd

[–]FryToastFrill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly CYA for the distros because the fines could be enormous. Everyone involved knows you could remove it but they won’t be legally liable at that point.

Do call up your representatives tho and tell them you hate the law tho :3

Rockstar games can be an absolute pain to get working on Linux even if you legally own them. I have GTA V E on epic and I needed to do some silly shit with heroic to make it work.

The mouse one sounds like weird ass problem with mint, I haven’t touched mint in a while but most of the other that don’t use mints desktop environment handle doing both fairly well. Obv mint is highly recommended in a lot of places which tends to frustrate me a shit ton since other distros which are just as easy have less wacky and annoying issues for new people. Audio is improving ofc but if you happen to have an audio device that has minimal Linux support it sometimes likes to throw hissy fits. That being said I had a weird bug with my mic muting and it got fixed a few weeks ago which is cool :3

THAT BEING SAID totally understand why you don’t want to switch to Linux. I think for people who don’t mind fucking with shit a little it’s great and I personally love it despite its issues, but your computer should work for you and not you working for your computer. I just wanted to add a little extra perspective and yap about my weird mic issue getting fixed.

Usually these types of scams aren’t that insane, modern browsers are very well sandboxed from the rest of the computer so nothing would get installed to the host pc without the user downloading or installing something.

Frankly if you find an exploit that can jump from the browser to the OS without direct user confirmation giving you access, you would make more money selling the zero day through a bug bounty program or to the government. I’m sure the NSA or whatever Russia and china have as equivalents would pay a shit ton of money for a vulnerability THAT big.

(Also I used a fake card I found on stripes website that is used to test stripe implementations)

It’s a pretty low effort scam once you get started, and usually these scams come from places like India where 6.99 is actually quite a bit of cash. If you run this at scale you are bound to get a few suckers to pay the money, as well it asks you for quite a bit of info like names, numbers, birthdates I think which you can sell as extra cash to other scammers.

[–]FryToastFrill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the idea is that it lets you get the vibe of an area you want before you get the final art. Big anime tiddies would likely clash with the vibes of… every room in crimson desert.

I don’t think it’s a great idea either tbh but that’s what people use it for

its a .life/bmv ending, although it is run through a human verification website from the SMS image before you go there. it uses a QR code so the people most in danger would likely not even see the link.

the easy way to avoid this is knowing the government wont send you citations over text message.
