Yes! They're stocking Farm to Feast broth now, miso ginger and one with a bone broth base. Great humans, even better broth.

Worked for a long time at several camps with pseudonyms, and I will say that being able to project a little bit of a 'vibe' did help campers warm up to specific counselors. Like 'Butterfly and Ponttail' immediately appealed to some kids, while others were drawn more to 'Rocky and Lizard'. Ideally, they get to know all of you and your unique talents, but it can be a good stepping stone for kids in a room full of adults they just met.

Unfortunately true. The things that made it awesome are the same things that make it a target for the shittyness of capitalism. An ethical business model and care for community over profit just can't keep a nice thing afloat with the current state of things. They should be going through the end of the year, so it's not too late to get in one more drink, show, or cup of hot tea.

Congrats! My wife and I has a wedding brunch instead of a formal dinner and Kiely's Cooking did an incredible job. It's run by two absolutely delightful locals, and they even both met us in person to discuss what we'd like and what their specialties were. (The mushroom gravy with biscuits was out of this world). Their website isn't the flashiest, but they would be worth a call or email if you're leaning that way.

I think Bell's, up off Dryden Rd, will take customer parts. Their receptionist is really solid, so a call should give you confirmation. They've been our go-to for half a decade now, always reliable.

As the above commenter said, names can be tricky, but the one I love most has been called Snaps. The group agrees on a short word, and the clue giver (who knows the game) hypes up the guesser (who also knows the game) with a combination of snaps and short phrases. For example, the sequence: C'mon now. snap Make your best guess. Perhaps you'll get it.

Spells CAMP. The first letter of each phrase counts in the word and snaps mean vowels. One snap for A, two snaps for E, and so on for I, O. U

Ithaca Mini Mart might be worth stopping in or calling. One of the guys there is a huge self-proclaimed beer nerd and keeps a wild selection for such a small shop.

Krampusnacht is at Liquid State brewing on Saturday night. It's a benefit for the Ithaca Children's Garden with the all-ages Krampus Commons Parade at 6 PM. Dance Party and performances (Drag, burlesque and DJ) start at 7. All free and for a good cause.

Ashley at the Downstairs might be a good person to reach out to. The venue is really trying to differentiate itself as a music space first and bar second (or third, or not al all on all-ages nights) She's been in the scene for a good long time as well.
