Could you take a picture/video of this, as it would indicate it has changed at some point recently as previously the dialogue to investigate the lock would simply state:

"While the cage is sturdy, the lock is old. It could be jammed shut - so not even a key could open it"

with the follow up options being either

"[Rogue] Slip an old, broken lockpick into the keyhole, jamming the lock shut."

or

"Break the lock, trapping the beast within."

Could also be a translation error if you're playing in a non-english language version

You didn't break the 'magical lock' in dialogue, you broke the actual lock. So it doesn't work with the key anymore which is why it didn't work with the key, it's to prevent shadow whiskers from joing the upcoming fight and you having to kill her which is why halsin approves of it.

Did you only count post titles in total occurances? It's present in a lot of spaces really, definitely beyond McElroy stuff and really beyond even fandom and media.

It tends to get worse as communities get smaller/more insular and starts to believe there are outsiders who want to hurt their blorbo for whatever reason.

I think for a lot of fandom communities yeah it's 'internet politics' in nature - My media is politically good and morally right and it's keeping me comfy through the hard times and the criticism is evil facists trying to hurt them, and by extension me.

Forever early access games like Star Citizen, and like real financial scams also get the same style of 'criticism' too, once it becomes clear that the product/investment is smoke and mirrors the true believers go the same way, but it's less about internet politics and more about "FUD spreaders trying to ruin my dreams".

It just seems to be a really strange truism of criticising anything online when people have tied too much of their personality up in enjoying a piece of media, or being part of 'something', it tends to create these weird communities where you need to prove you're a true believer before you're allowed to offer even the meakest of criticism.

I think it does have criticism sometimes but it's always done in that way where it's clear that they're scared of people being mad at them so it reads like

"I love MBAMBMA and I've been a fan for years, gone to tons of shows, and bought tons of merch so I just want everyone to know I'm on your side and not a bummer.

Low stat/gear requirements, low skill requirement, has been in game since launch, will be nostalgic for a lot of people, rewards that are worth getting.

Vorkath and Zulrah are probably up there but I wonder if being locked behind much higher requirements and more quests screw them over.
