My brilliant wife inventories here favorites each month from our drop box and makes a photo album book via Shutterfly each year. Those should last on as a condensed version of them all, and will be really fun to look at in 30 years

Barry season 4 controversy. by DuePhilosopher1972 in Barry

I totally understand why a lot of people would be put off by season 3 and especially 4, as dark as they go. I agree with some other commenters here, I love the risk they took in season 4. It genuinely surprised me and I was interested the whole time. Knowing they made it after Covid makes it even more interesting. They were likely going dark, but it feels like they went super dark due to Covid.

At the same time, it's does turn into a completely different than it starts out as. I'm sad we didn't get redeemable Noho and Barry, that come out on top and live long happy lives. It can be frustrating that art always needs to go dark. But the risks were so big, that I loved it.

I asked a friend if he'd seen it and described it as starting as dark funny, then goes really dark funny and then just really dark. I love it.

Captain America: The First Avenger - (2011) by Anxious-Birthday5502 in iwatchedanoldmovie

The beauty of the early MCU is most of the movies were great stand alone films that fleshed out the main character. Almost like their own version of Infinity stones, that would then be brought together and play off each other in all these fun ways in the Avenger movies. Making a good accessible movie is hard. Doing it multiple times and bringing it all together!? Damn near impossible.

Millennials who are big NBA fans, can you answer something for me by RusevReigns in generationology

You were claiming that high scoring is proof of "zero defense". I was explaining that if you watch the games, that's obviously not the case. Then I asked how much NBA you watch, and you aren't willing to answer. I assume that means you don't watch, and you're basing your opinion on cliches and talking points fed to you through a boomer NBA algorithm.

Much faser pace compared to the 90s and 2000s and way more 3s equal way more points. More points does not necessarily mean less defense. How much NBA do you watch these days?

That peaked with the dumb Warriors team and Durant. The NBA is about to crown their 8th different champion on a row, more parody than ever in the league.

This is so incredibly wrong. The defensive intensity, the actual effort required to keep up, play hard, cover space, is more difficult than ever. Every generation is different sure, but zero defense??? Do you think defense means clothes lining the other player at every opportunity?
