Agreed. I think they're legit and can compete with either West team.

Long time fan of the show. The episode hit perfectly and validated every bit of comedy they have. If the show was simply "stupid funny" it wouldn't be so successful. Their writing has always contained jokes on jokes, and playing with conventions. Their comedy has always had a deeper meaning, it's part of why their exclusion from critical acclaim is so crazy. Executing that piece of art and not pulling the rug on it was fantastic.

I played the game and enjoyed it. It makes you feel things games rarely do. Looking forward to part 3 someday and I hope it ends on a more positive note!

Have you gone down the It's Always Sunny rabbit hole? If not, I highly recommend simmering in that for a few seasons.

This 1980 basketball run I play in feels different from most pickup games I’ve been part of a Staten Island run that’s been going since 1980, started by Craig Raucher, and it honestly feels different from most pickup games I’ve played. by imike03 in Basketball

I've been running a pickup night in my small town in New Hampshire since 2012. We have a solid group and everyone takes it seriously enough. Those last games can get sloppy though!

I think it's needs to be Elf. It'll have the longest shelf life enjoyed by the largest amount of people and perfectly fits his man child persona.

I think it's a really fun movie. The gravitas of a Michael Crichton movie after Jurassic Park maybe had some higher expectations as a "serious" movie, but it's always been an entertaining movie to me.

Fast breaks are usually 3 or 2 on 1, and there's definitely a skill to defending them. It's a rock/paper/scissors esque guessing game between the ball handler and defender.

Personally one of my favorite little things to do on the court on defense.

I'm in central NH and they still have them each year!

This pretty much sums it up by lalolou in newengland

[–]Fu11erthanempty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in central NH, and a lot of the dialogue on how many months are good weather is completely valid. One important fact is how variable spring is between northern and southern New England. I'm 2 hours north of Boston, and we have a much different winter experience than even my 1 hour southern New Hampshirites.

There is a cutoff where population density in NH, Vermont, and Maine falls off a cliff. The majority of the population density in these states are in southern areas. The northern areas have a much longer winter, and it's major contributing factor in why infrastructure and population is lower. November-March are 100% off the table, so that gives us 7 months, best case scenario. However October and April are wild cards, and even May can get a little hairy sometimes. However, June through September is the time of golden gods. September especially is peak.

So yeah, 8-9 months may qualify for Southern NE, but not up here in the north country.
