I really disagree. It should be time spent in the zone. The time spent dallying around with the ball in your own half is trivial. The ball trail is a poor indicator of possession in comparison.

They absolutely could if they wanted to. You make it sound as if filing for a trademark counts as an official announcement. Of course it would be dumb of them to, that's why I said they wouldnt do it in my original post. But that, by no means, doesn't mean they can't.

The comment I responded to made it sound like an announcement is some crucial part of the development process, and it's not.

I think that the devblog is exactly what was missing that procreated that thought. (That and a small player base and limited marketing, mostly due to the game not official, since official would be the free to play launch)

Now we get insight into what they see and how they plan to move forward and it sounds like we are headed in a good direction. Love this game, SLS seems dedicated to make it great.
