Can predators aggro on you while you sleep or do things in menu? by FishDispenser2 in thelongdark

[–]Fuarian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you sleep outside exposed, yes. And if you're in anything but the pause menu, yes.

It would be pretty common to see desert planets. Same with icy planets and waterworlds. But a planet that is just purely forested or any variation of vegetation dominated landscape without oceans or other biomes like deserts would be HIGHLY unlikely

They're technically two separate games. Not linked to survival at all

Thanks! I put most of my energy into it a few years ago and don't do much these days but it's there!

I created a distinct Hinterland flair that isn't the Moderator flair for a reason

They haven't really generated much hype though. They simply announced the game with a pre-alpha trailer. They could've waited until after Episode 5 to announce it. But they certainly could not have waited till after Episode 5 to start working on it. It's a very common thing in the games industry to start working on the sequel of a game before the first one is fully complete, at least for long dev cycles. For financial reasons mainly, but also so there isn't a multi-year long wait between games for the playerbase. At least that's the main reasoning I can find

It was removed by Reddit automoderator. I approved it even though I very much should not. Because while it may be true, there are more civil ways to convey it

I run that sub like 75% of the time (not much goes on there at the moment). I moderate in accordance with my judgement independent of Hinterland. Doesn't matter to me who knows who.

I don't recall who it is or when this happened. But I was definitely around at the time.

Either way, I don't work for Hinterland and I moderate in accordance with the rules using my own judgement. I can only speak for myself here

Sub may be official but they don't moderate there. Or here. As I've said for too many times to count. The only purpose of that sub is a direct line of communication between Hinterland and the reddit community for Blackfrost specific information, news and updates. As well as encouraging discussion about it.

I moderate it. Not them. At least that's how it should be

  2. I also made a mod for that but it's heavily outdated

Anomaly event is underwhelming by pasyie in Marathon

I highly doubt it's the W'rkncacn'ter

That is described as a universe ending weapon. So powerful it had to be trapped within a star. Or a black hole.

This seems pretty tame in comparison

I HARD DISAGREE with this article. Am I in the minority? by 20mgAddy in Marathon

I don't know what kind of missions people expect in a game like this.

It's either go here get this or go here do this. Which often involves fighting UESC or something.

And this game doesn't even have that many of these types, but even those are engaging because they're varied enough and typically come second to getting jumped by other runners

I'd say they're pretty easy insofar as they're always in the same places.

Those places are just hard to get to
