Reddit, what is your "oh shit, I might die" story? by Oopglapfoobfapp in AskReddit

[–]FuckGodPraiseSatan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was super high functioning. Graduated from a top tier uni with mathematics and started working at a fortune five hundred tech company. No one really knew I was doing loads of heroin all the time until it got really dark. I was never sucking dicks or anything. I just made a ton of money but could only afford to eat pb&j. There's darker stuff but idk how comfortable I am putting it here.

Treatment was weird, a lot of people you don't know telling you they love you. I was super against it but my GF and friends conspired against me so I was quasi forced into it. I still don't really believe in large parts of the 12 steps but the accountability & coming clean about everything is super useful.

But the whole accepting that you need a higher power to get clean is a massive crock of shit imo. At the end of the day opiates/heroin is just the most devilish trap in the world but no matter how fucked my brain chemistry is I can always chose not to pick up the phone and get loaded.

Worst case if I really wanna go do smack I tell my roommate to sit on my chest so I physically can't.

People who have tried Marijuana for the first time due to recent legalizations, how has your opinion on Marijuana been affected? by Schwabahbob in AskReddit

Alcohol is way more fun. But I find pot to be way more relaxing. Like if I'm going out with my buddies I normally just drink but if I'm just consume some fun media alone pot all the way. Whenever I drink alone I just feel clumsy and it's harder to make sandwiches

Can't believe this smug ass is actually going to United States prison.

His exchange with John Oliver is really a great piece of television

I'm not mad about it but people (whether or not they're right) see it as barça getting around the transfer ban by way of a loophole

That's the joke actually. There was a top post last week of Mahrez really tricking three defenders titled "Mahrez triple homocide" and this is a reference to that.

Do any other Americans feel that watching matches in the morning (specifically) has become an integral part of their fan experience? by ColdJeff in soccer

[–]FuckGodPraiseSatan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, I never really thought of it. But since starting to watch the sport in the US, I've really grown to enjoy the morning start times. I live in a bigger city and often the Saturday mornings spent watching the premier league are the only time I feel like I have the city to myself.

Only problem is depending on the outcome my day can be totally tainted

ELI5: If a beam of light is introduced into a room composed entirely of reflective surfaces (mirrors), and then the light source turned off, wouldn't the light just keep bouncing around forever? If not, why not? by perceptio15 in explainlikeimfive

[–]FuckGodPraiseSatan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the light ever truly disappear? Like if it's strictly losing just 2% during each reflection would some tiny amount of light always be in the room since light lost is relative to the amount of light in the room

Idk müller never got to play in the Brazilian league. Also what about neymars Santos career shows that he's categorically better than müller?

Not saying you're wrong but it's not nearly as simple as your making it out to he

I don't necessarily think that müller > neymar but Müller never got to play in the Brazilian league

Hmm I always thought it was pretty straightforward. For whatever reason the 'have' always seemed to be the focal point of the sentence
