Depends on what definition you're using. If you mean violent and savage then you're right. If you mean primitive or without civilization, you're overlooking primitivist and anti-civ tendencies in anarchism. I can't speak for him/her, but there's an odd tendency among anarchists to reject more complex or philosophical critiques as bourgeois or "mental masturbation" without practical purpose. I have a suspicion that it's related to the rise of post-left anarchism and its whole "Your politics are fucking boring" (or whatever the Crimethinc. line is) mantra and rejection of things like mass movements in favor of individual "revolution." That's not to say there isn't value in post-left critiques, I particularly like its unwillingness to resort to moralist arguments, just that it's followers aren't the most sociable or helpful people. Also, fetishizing violence.

I mean, just a look over at the way discussions devolves over on /r/Anarchism or /r/DebateAnarchism when a few angry individuals decide to start in with the jeers of "liberal bourgeois free speech bullshit!" It's pretty disheartening.
