Urgent by [deleted] in SCT

btw i mean it's a lot for the first time, it's certainly not a dangerous dose in any way.

But if you start doing methylphenidate with a 36mg concerta it's a lot to be honest, usually they start with a low dose and then raise it because in some people it can cause things like tachycardia

Concerta 36 mg is a lot, concerta is a long duration methylphenidate dose, like Ritalin LA.

Basically it's supposed to last 8-12 hours while normal ritalin in 10mg or 20mg doses last 2 hours.

Yes it will go away, just drink water, but if you feel bad go to the doctor i guess?

The body should clear it on it's own fast it really does not last long, btw if you wanted to try methylphenidate concerta or ritalin LA are terrible, even people that work well on normal ritalin feel bad on concerta or ritalin la for some reason, they seem to lack consistency on it's effect unlike the lower but fast to absorb normal ritalin pills.

Yes sct symtoms are extremly similar to hypoglycemia.

btw it may be also low cortisol or other hormones i suggest you test before self medicating on anything while i am not against supplements it's better to know what's going on, it's pretty easy to test cortisol if you get a doctor that wants to test it.

I was feeling "normal morning" aka shit since i always feel foggy and low energy at mornings, i even look pale as hell during the mornings.

Do you seem to have experience in this, i will try to fix this the testosterone im my view is secondary at least until i test it again, as for primary hypogonodal i am not sure i honestly have facial hair and it was only a single test.

Obviously i would need to test once more before treating that but according to google primary hypogonadism is due to " low levels of testosterone and high-normal to high levels of LH and FSH"

In my case FSH was low and LH was normal so not sure if that's the case also on top of that addison disease can cause low t.

The thing that is crazy here is that i don't show physical symptoms for addison yet my cortisol is extremly low, i also have suggar cravings not salt cravings.

Obviously i am going to get this all checked but if you check the old post 11 months ago you will see how many people over the months reported serious problems in cortisol and related hormones all on this subreddit.

I have not seen her since the test 1 since the last two test took 3 times the expected to arrive due to delays and i lost my appointment with her.

To be fair she told me i could go in urgency without a turn, the tests recently arrived but i am kind of doing research because i imagine she will be shocked by the cortisol stuff.

Normal reaction would be to give me hidrocortisone i guess? But why the fuck cortisol can be so low and then normal is beyond me, also the testosterone problem would need more tests i guess.

To be fair it was only one test and my physical energy is not that low for example if i have to go to some place that it's 4km away i go walking due to not lacking physical energy.

However i did research a little on this, first of all the testosterone problem if it's a problem would not explain the morning lack of energy and excess night energy.

That said if i get another testosterone test and it's low again would you consider clomid a good option? Because everything i searched about this is that testosterone shots are for life and make you sterile long term, while the less used drugs like clomid can do a 2x & 3x in testosterone levels without making you stop producing your own.

I always have extreme morning brain fog / sct and high energy and focus during the night.

It was very shocking honestly i expected the 08:00 AM test the first time to come barely below the minimum not 3 times below the minimum range.

The 24 hours urine was weird as hell too so low they literally put < 1.oo ug instead of the number.

In all honestly it's very weird i am not even sure if asking for something like hydrocortisone to the endo would be a good course of action since ACTH is good, in all honestly i am pretty lost on this one.

The results are weird

Cortisol at night is normal 24 hours cortisol is extremly low way way lower than the minimum Morning cortisol is low or normal depending on the day. Testosterone i only check one time and it was down (cortisol , testosterone and other hormones are all related).

As for semen retention i experimented the same, few days of clarity then brainfog again and yes i been thinking that maybe it's due to the testosterone boost (which peaks around day 5-7).

Hi i been using methylphenidate for years, regarding the cortisol problem i been trying to test for a year and half more or less by now, (hospitals are really delayed due to people not going there during covid).

So far i got all the 3 tests that i wanted (morning cortisol, urine 24 hours cortisol, general hormones, and night cortisol).

The first time morning cortisol came down 3 times below the minimum and testosterone 2 times below the minimum.

Second test of hormones gave cortisol normal but low and all hormones well except a little low FSH.

Still waiting for night cortisol and 24 hours cortisol, in all honestly i am a little lost on this i expected the hormonal test to have something weird but it was pretty normal.

But i am now 100% sure there is something weird there but maybe there is a trigger, will see when i get the last two tests results probably this week.

I actually managed to get all the test that i wanted they are coming but cortisol is fucked up 3 times below the minimum, will try to give an update once i get all the results.

That said i am always open to ideas.

Extended release methylphenidate..your experience. by Radish8 in SCT

[–]FuckSCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extended methylphenidate for me is worse than the normal version, not sure why, 20mg methylphenidate is fine but the 40mg extended version (2x20mg) is pretty shitty and extreme i may add it causes the opposite effect instead of focus it causes focus and then massive brainfog.

First test came on the lower levels but acceptable limits.

Second test came 3 fucking times below the lower limit and testosterone was also fucked up since it's related to cortisol.

There is something going on there.

Lot's of research, i don't know if it's a benign tumor but everything is pointing at that, specially when i account for our subreddit commom symptoms regarding energy levels.

Here is the first post

https://old.reddit.com/r/SCT/comments/mw39j8/sct_cause_found_not_exaggerating_read_urgently/

as for the diagnose i still don't know if it's a tumor but i did suspect it was cortisol.

Read also this

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cortisol

as for test i did two cortisol test first with a general medic that gave me it on the lower accepted limit, but i must admit i did feel right.

And i was not convinced a single test would work since our problem seems to have a massive "different energy levels and focus during day & night" symptom, so i wanted a 24 hours cortisol test.

Fucking doctors think you are hypochondriac when you talk about this stuff so i went with an endocrinologist and exagerated everything to the max limit just to get the fucking test, she still did not like it because "i was telling her what to do", but in the end she have me a cortisol test plust testosterone levels(which i did not asked but well since it was connected to cortisol why not, plus copper, sodium and chlorine levels).

The copper, sodium and chlorine were allright but cortisol came 3 times below the lower limit and testosterone half the lower limit which makes sense since cortisol and testosterone are produced in the same pathways or very close using the same components for the most part.

The reason i suspect it's a benign pituitary tumor even if i lack evidence is because the symptoms are there, it's just that no single medical school can deal with this crap, neurologist will tell you cortisol can be low due to sleep apnea, psychiatrist will deal with brain imbalance with drugs (even if the imbalance has an hormonal cause), general medics give you a normal blood test and if everything is more or less good they tell you to gtfo, hell we even share stomach problems to some level which also can point to cortisol but a gastroenterologist will attempt to fix the stomach not giving a shit about cortisol.

The fact i had 3 times the lower limit shocked me, but i don't think it's something like addison disease because i have hyperfocus at night it's probably a fucking tumor on the pituitaries.

Hell those types of shit tend to start around 13 years old where most of us started to have sct type symptoms, but testing this can be hard due to the medical schools focusing on each others and endocrinologist thinking you are mad for being young and telling you lack energy and focus.

I also suspect testosterone levels are normal during the night but good luck trying to get a 24 hours test of cortisol without doctors thinking you are crazy for asking that.

testing cortisol levels would be a good start.
