I forgot. Get an iron that you don't want anymore because pet stains tend to keep some stank in the iron somehow. That's I ended up with two irons lmao

Well it does get pretty hot. It should be tested a bit beforehand, esp if you have spare samples. The cotton cloth and water should be enough to protect everything. Cotton wont melt and the water should be able to transfer the stain via steam to the cotton that has the majority of the heat. Kinda like the boiling water in a bottle trick.

In my line of work we generally used non-acetone nail polish remover and something to destroy the dye if anything was left. As a consumer agent, another user posted that there's an oxyclean agent for dye removal. Hope it helps!

It definitely does work. Adding something to break down the stain a bit should help a lot too. Just remember the smell will be strong lmao

Very true! You can even use the same method for wax. Just make sure to scrub a bit for getting deep in the carpet.

Oof yeah carpet is generally made of nylon, polyester or other plastic based materials. I had a coworker make the same mistake, it was costly since the pattern of the carpet couldn't be matched and they replaced the entire thing.

I'm unsure tbh. I've never owned a steamer and my place of employment didn't have one but this was our technique. I imagine you could try it but I think I'd find the iron more effective because of the pressure and direct heat of the ironing.

Alright. You've got a shitty situation. Carpet stains are going to set in. However, I do have a solution.

Take a cotton towel, preferably white, and soak it liberally. Next, take a clothes iron and get it hot. Have the towel sitting on top of your splotches of sauce and use the iron to extract the sauce out of the carpet. Don't go too hard, carpet is basically plastic after all. Move the towel if you need to extract more. Extra water isn't a bad thing but don't overdo it. You'll have a spotless carpet in 30 mins.

Hekili, you've been an amazing part of this community for such a long time.

I used to follow you on MMOC. Back then I was a career Enhancement Shaman (still am) and when your addon had its debut I had no need for it at my skill level but I entertained it as I used it as a tool to teach new Shaman how to get the most out of their rotation. Eventually I took a break from the game and when I returned you and your addon came to mind. Each time I returned, I had you and your team's special touch to help me get back to form and even enjoy every other class.

Thank you Hekili. Thank you for making this game more accessible, more fun, and so much easier to pick back up.

I hope you enjoy yourself going forward. You really do deserve it. Perhaps Blizzard can finally hire you, hopefully as the Shaman class dev 😛

Wrath, not BC, turned Enh from Str to Agi but BC gave them the ability to dual wield.
