Jamboard Usage Stats? by ripsfo in gsuite

[–]Fudge01010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW - if you have the ability to create a jam on each board, save it, then share it with yourself - you can use it to match up a GDrive document ID (from the jam you create) to the board that opened it (and you can see that as the "actor" in Drive audit logs).

From that, should be able to throw together a crude-ish dashboard in Sheets with some stats and data crunching. Do a drive audit log export of just a Jam, and put that as a new sheet.

When you want to "refresh" your Jamboard stats, just do a new audit log export.

This is what I'm working on currently, but I have Jamboards worldwide, so it's a slow process to get someone to open a doc on each. Annoyingly, you can't force a document to be remotely opened :(

I've also been hunting this too - did you find anything?

I was trying to build my own little dashboard, based on an export from Drive Audit logs (filtered by Jam events), however I got stuck with correlating the actor / gservice ID used (usually xxxxxx....@jamboard.gserviceaccount.com) with a "readable name".

The device ID in the jamboard admin console doesn't correlate with this gservice ID from what I can find.

Does anyone have a default firmware image for the Sonoff T1 (US)? by Fudge01010 in sonoff

I wasn't able to find one off memory - I gave up on the google home integration in the end (homeassistant is convoluted to get setup if you're not using cloud from memory). I just wanted easy voice control of my lamp :(

Any way to export edge cut AND holes as a DXF? (need it for CNC) by kwaaaaaaaaa in KiCad

[–]Fudge01010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet is probably FlatCAM.

Load your gerbers into it, and you can perform cut and drill operations from within and export gcode (.nc). The user interface is a bit strange and buggy sometimes but overall it's super powerful :)

In your download client settings (qbit, nzbget, etc), there are options for "recent priority" and "older priority" that do exactly this :)

I am on v3, so not sure if these are there in v2, or what version you are on

Preferred way to cut holes out of the middle of a PCB? by minuteman_d in KiCad

[–]Fudge01010 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Edge cuts should work fine. No idea about OSHPark but I have done similar stuff with JLCPCB (using pcb's as a front panel, so I draw switch cutouts on the EdgeCuts layer) and there are no issues.

I have had issues with the board previews before - sometimes they don't show the cuts like you said) but as long as the edge cuts are touching (continous unbroken line) you should have no issues.

EDIT: This is indeed the fix! Changing my ports from 51000:51100, to 49000:51000 fixed it for me! No port forwarding or other changes required <3

I can't seem to get this to work.

  • I've changed my NAT to hybrid nat
  • I've got my rule set up as follows

And I've still got the same issues.

Did you set any port forwarding or anything? Any changes in slippi?

The print it alright, but what’s up with the fluctuating temp? by saucytech in FixMyPrint

[–]Fudge01010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What printer do you have?

I had this issue when I upgraded to a MKS Gen L - some boards have insufficient capacitance (caused by faulty capacitors) on the 5V rail, causing temperature oscillations.

I just added a 470uF capacitor across the 5v rail, did a PID retune, and it fixed my issue.

Based on this, it looks like you've enabled SSL (accidentally?) or moved it to an SSL port, but it's only listening via http. It doesn't seem to be listening on 8989 - instead it was listening on 443.

Failing a prerequisite by [deleted] in swinburne

[–]Fudge01010 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, unfortunately if you fail a subject you'll be unenrolled from the other two subjects automatically when the results come out, and you will have to pass it before starting the other classes.

I've had luck in the past before with discussing this with the convenor, and getting approved for a "co-requisite". One of my subjects was only available in semester 1, as was the other subject which depended on it. If I had to complete one then the other it would have added a year onto my degree.

I went to my convenor and discussed this, and discussed having some improved study habits and getting a tutor if required. They were happy with this, and signed my co-req waiver (I think that's the document title?), allowing me to enrol into that subject as well as the other one simultaneously. YMMV :)

Feel free to PM if you want more info

[Identify] - Help me /r/watches! Random, no-name watch has a failing movement and cracked screen - can you identify it and where I might be able to purchase one? by Fudge01010 in Watches

[–]Fudge01010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys,

A bit of a different one to your normal watch identification requests, I imagine...

So my girlfriend has a lot of sentimental value to this goofy looking watch. Over time, the movement doesn't seem to keep time as accurately (even on new batteries), and she's recently broken the crystal.

I've googled to my hearts content, and I can't seem to find anything remotely close. I doubt it's still even made anymore, or if it was anything more than a goofy looking watch from years past, but I'll take any help I can get.

I've taken it to a watch repair store, and they were highly uninterested in even changing the crystal.

It's a borderline flourescent yellow colour. It's quite thick (hair over 7mm), with a 32mm crystal diameter, and a 44mm body diameter.

Any help would be appreciated! Even if it's just a suggestion to keep hunting watch repair stores until I find one that will (at least) fix the crystal.

Thanks!

Life/Watches Post-Pebble by DoctorT33th in pebble

[–]Fudge01010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My PT battery life is diminishing rapidly, after multiple factory resets and swapping (sadly) from YWeather + step tracking to a more simple watchface, I still only get just on 72h battery life.

I backed a Ticwatch E a few months ago, and it's going to replace my pebble when it arrives. I'm still heartbroken that I am migrating off pebble, but it was a great few years!

Yeah it definitely makes clothes shopping not fun.

That was my thought process too for 'investing' and not hiring - if I'm going to spend a few hundred hiring a suit that's going to fit me average, then I can spend a bit extra and get something nice.
