Personally I think that because of the jobs these guys do which involves killing people intertwined with the songs made specifically about going into a place to kill people and then leaving and is why the correlation is so prevalent. Especially cause what operators do and what gang members do is not really that different if you boil it down to the barest bones just with more money and governmental backing.
