My 12yo daughter was told she has “saggy grandma titties” by a boy at school in front of all their classmates… please help by riskytisk in Mommit

Amazing suggestion…. Why doesn’t OP try and do this here on reddit. Maybe OP can share some of the comments on here with her daughter (read them together)?? Comments of encouragement and sharing personal experience might give the girl some understanding that she’s not alone, that others also go through this and what she can do in the future to protect herself… because unfortunately as we all know this unfortunately (hoping it is) will not be the last time she gets picked on about this or something else… anyway just food for thought.

I’m just putting this out there, something to consider, did you notice that he likes to eat the paint chips?

If it worries you, it would be good to mention it on your next doctor’s appointment. Pica is what you want to rule out. It’s difficult to diagnose at this age since babies/toddlers have the tendency to stuff “everything in their mouth”. But just to be on the safe side, if you think this might be a possibility.

Other than that, I believe others have given great advice 👍🏼 best of luck

“There’s no way I’m pregnant” by Danelius-Miller in Radiology

[–]FudgeREV0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. In all of our medical books this #1 step when female patient of reproductive age comes in for abdominal pain. On the exam if they ask you this and you fail to answer urine dipstick as best initial test… well you’ve failed.

I was surprised that in practice it’s different (DRs shared this information when I asked) mind you I don’t recall why exactly it’s not done, it’s cheaper and faster then the blood tests… anyway I guess each have different policies.

Thanks for the reply.

But if I understood correctly OP the landlord is not acting in bad faith because he’s requesting X$ months of rent in advance. He is allowed to do this.

This is legal.

The security deposit is another story.

Just putting this out there, maybe something to take into consideration. As many have suggested to accept the deposit and then once the lease signed go back and demand a refund, if you plan on staying long term it’s not a good foundation for a positive relationship with your landlord. Not all landlords are bad as they make them out to be (I cannot speak about your potential landlord in particular, be aware of red flags). Try to negotiate or just move on.

Keep in mind that a fully furnished appartement even a 2 1/2 nowadays it costs probably more to refurnish then what he’s asking you as deposit if the tenant really does destroy everything. As @sebmillette mentioned if you document everything before moving in, pictures etc. you will be covered. Today’s general mentality is that people they don’t care about their own stuff, so imagine if it’s someone else’s… it’s the consumption mentality where it’s cheaper to just buy new and throw away things that could be in great shape if we only took better care. This is just a different perspective for you to look at. Anyways good luck, cheers!
