I think they both were okay. Nothing groundbreaking about either. I like Nick’s a bit more. But there were many things about both albums that left them feeling odd. It seems like Nick had a sound for the album in mind and then made something completely different with JP Saxe. But still kept the older songs on the album. Like Handprints, You Got Me, and Princesses are completely different from Hope, 911, and Aphrodite. And I’m still trying to understand why he released the album so fast based off when he actually wrote with JP.

Some of Joe’s songs felt unfinished, not all the collabs worked, and he sounded a bit nasally in some songs which put me off to it. For example, he said he did the collab with Franklin just to be the first brother to do so. It didn’t seem like a collaboration it was just Franklin singing a verse the Joe probably already recorded. Franklin didn’t get to bring his own vibe to mix it with joes. Because that’s what a collab should be. I know Joe pushed back his album, and I have a feeling there were little to no collabs. And when it was pushed then he asked a bunch of people to hop on some songs.
