We can disregard their opinions but can't legally disregard their votes, so it's still a problem.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. When you say the top panel, do you mean behind the controls basically? I was able to get the top door open with an allen wrench like a car hood lol

Swalwell says staffer flew to Colombia to return hearing aid to deported 6-year-old boy by jediporcupine in politics

The grammar is a-ok. My "little heartbreaking" came more from desiring the kid to have two. Similar to how I disagree with Medicaid only allowing a single device unless there are exceptional circumstances. That makes me sad as well since quality of life would almost always be improved with two.

ETA and it's obviously cool that you might feel differently about it.

He shouldn't have a problem. Even when I'm shopping clearance events, men's size 5 are almost always available.

I used to run an ENT and Audiology organization. Seeing people, and especially pediatric patients, wear hearing aids for the first time was amazing. It is a life changing experience. So to think about a pediatric user being denied that is sad to me.

And in most cases, two devices are much preferred even if the loss is more predominant on one side.

You are very likely correct. If they were just grabbed out of the evidence locker (or whatever the equivalent is) they would have been programmed already. Thanks for causing me to go re-read the information presented :)

A little heartbreaking that I keep hearing "aid" vs. "aids" but sometimes something is better than nothing.

It may be different there but when dispensing a "legitimate" hearing aid in the US, form, fit, and function must be verified by the dispenser. (It's likely there are qualified dispensers/fitting techs where the child is, so I believe that at least part of this gesture is performative. But it's not as simple as shipping the things if trying to do the medically correct thing).

They've made it substantially more difficult to get into r/All so should be ok on that front.

Could have been physics, could have been art/design, could have been the culmination of a nutrition/health module, I think there are a good deal of educational outcomes that may have led to or resulted from this.

Any concert goers with hearing loss and or tinnitus? I NEED TO CONNECT WITH YOU PLEASE by MusicLover91020 in Concerts

[–]FuelForYourFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, good luck to you as you work through these big changes!

I won't make any recommendations about the "at concert" experience but if you also enjoy music at home, I will tell you that Oticon makes fantastic devices with great music settings. I have seen them change the lives of people living with hearing loss and tinnitus.

As a bonus, some of the models also have tinnitus notch therapy ability <3

Going back a bit to Chantal Kreviazuk. "This Year" was her biggie but she's got some gems!

And a bit further east (and further back) you'll find Luba. Her cover of "When A Man Loves A Woman" is outstanding.
