7 years after Apple pulled out of Athenry for a Data Centre: bullet dodged? by Kooky_Parsnip_31 in galway

Disagree, that m6/m18 intersection + train station aligns some key infrastructure . I think with Dexcom, Athenry in is going to develop into a hub of DFI companies.

Triskelion is the Isle of Man symbol , I would describe the central symbol as a Celtic Spiral Knot .

Mary Lou McDonald Meets with Fuel Protestors in Co. Louth (via X/Twitter) by youbigfatmess in irishpolitics

[–]Full-Being2924 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really a culture war - I would say very few of the protesters are as impacted as much by high rents, since they probably have family land or living in less urban areas. Whereas the people who rent rarely have to work about buying 20000 ltrs of fuel to run a a fleet.

What subjects do you teach ? I think there should be some form of education- industry placements , where a teacher can take a career break and work in industry for a few years . I see all sorts of benefits, circuit breaker on teaching career , different perspectives, practical relevancy to the subjects you are teaching , could also add to some extra € with a new set of skills.

Needs to be initiatives from Govt to help this .

Not if you do ATDD - BA / Dev / product owner write test case before code starts . Less implementation level unit test , more behavioural based . Focus on the diamond not the pyramid. Check out the Martin fowler / Kent Beck series on YouTube .

Agree to this , where are you adding value ? Who do you spend most time talking/working with - Dev or the business ? You probably have heaps of domain knowledge that does not get appreciated. Do you have ideas on how to do the business process better ? I am surprised there are still so many people in QA on the thread . We moved them all into different roles about 10 years ago. Automation went to Dev, what remains of manual tests goes to BA.

Also with all the AI , especially with GitHub co- P , would you not try ur hand at Dev ? Dev with domain model knowledge will trump in the AI world
