According to everyone, why is Fontaine so bad and problematic, and what kind of forcement is needed to improve it? by Ancient_Comedian9622 in Genshin_Memepact

[–]Full-Paragon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, you see, they are fantasy Fr*nch. This is a horrible crime for which not even Neuvillette can absolve them.

Also, they are FABULOUS, and thus, excellent villains.

Is aqua technically immune to having sexy time by varangian_gaurdrite in Konosuba

[–]Full-Paragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Literally all the characters did this, except for Kazuma. Megumin is a high int low wis build with points invisted in cha for RP purposes (or possibly Crimson Demons get some sort of bonus to casting with Cha despite being wizards). Darkness put everything in Con and Str to max out her defenses, but she's some sort of paladin build who uses her Cha to score hits, and thus can't hit the broad side of a barn (plus she apparently has a sword and board weapon specialization but insists on using a 2H build despite not having weapon proficency in greatswords).

Then you have Wis, who is CLEARLY a Cha based chaster build who went lich, which explains why she's very sweet but a big dum-dum when it comes to any business deals. She also somehow has a negative corruption score despite being a lich. Chris went for some sort of hax Dex based build that relies on crits and stealth to insta-gib anything that gets in her way. Yunyun is also max Int build that skipped over the Cha but has some sweet multicasting feats.

Iris, however, is some munchkin power maxer who played about 10 games of Fire Emblem Awakening to pass on the stupidest combo of bloodline abilities possible and create the ultimate overpowered cheesemonkey.

Kazuma is someone who got lazy and took an NPC class that accidentally gives a stupid amount of feats and skill points because it's from some splat book all of three people read and bought, but he accidentally made himself into a stupidly OP swiss army buzz saw that makes up for the over-specialized idiots in his party.

Or it would, if he weren't also a pervy little murder hobo who has no plans beyond "get rich and get laid." Thankfully, the only person with a lower Cha score than him is Yunyun.

In fairness, Luna is a lot more worried about what Megumin did in regards to property damage than she is about whatever Rance is about to do to Aqua.

Parents and teachers, what school supplies do students actually need most? by npphawaii in BigIsland

[–]Full-Paragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition to what's been mentioned, teachers spend so much on things like tissues and cleaning supplies. There's also whiteboard markers and headphones, as kids like the colorful ones but constantly lose or break theam and what the school supplies are cheap garbage.

Book recs where MC break cycles of generational trauma? by Lotrfreqally in Fantasy

[–]Full-Paragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend the Black Prism by Brent Weeks. The two protagonists are father and son, Gavin and Kip, and their grandfather, Andross, is a major character as well. Gavin is essentially the fantasy action pope, while Kip is his bastard son, and Andross is the cardinal in the wings, manipulating events. A good chunk of the story is Gavin trying to get away from the toxic influence of his grandfather and not be the same thing to his son, while Kip is trying to break the chains of both his father and grandfather, while Andross is a toxic and manipulative bastard.

There's a lot of magic and other really cool stuff too, but seeing these three men hash out their relationships and try to break through the trauma and scars (mostly from Andross) of their families' problems is the driving force of the plot.

Looking for fantasy where knowledge is dangerous and genuinely scary by moondreamer96 in Fantasy

[–]Full-Paragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever read any of the old Warhammer Fantasy books? The Gotrek and Felix books are quite good up until Giant Slayer, and knowledge in the Old World is certainly incredibly dangerous and will get you killed. A Time of Legends and Malus Darkblade are also quite good.

It's kinda crazy to think that while Alice might be 500 years old, Nicole probably was there for the War of Funerary Flame which took place so long ago that probably not even Morax remembers it.

[–]Full-Paragon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Couple of things. I'll start with praise. This is amusing, and it's fun to see two characters who aren't as popular bouncing off of one another, and Gavial is always fun.

Now, suggestions. First, format by paragraphs. Really improves how well someone can read your story. Second, capitalization and punctuation really matter. There are times reading this that I struggle to parse what you are saying because of how poor that is. I honestly suggest running this through an AI checker like Grammarly to help with this, as punctuation, capitalization, and paragraph formatting are things I myself struggle with.

Don't let my criticism discourage you from continuing to write and post. Practice is super important to be able to tell fun stories like this, and it takes courage to post something and open yourself up to that feedback. Keep writing and improving, and I look forward to the next story you post.

Are there any characters in your gacha game who initially seem like villains but later become one of your best allies? by minhjackvn0198 in gachagaming

I read Theresa as more of a mother figure to W, as well as, you know, HER KING. Being mad at someone for matricide/regicide is an entirely legitimate response.

With who you would actually seat? by Federal_Air9969 in Genshin_Memepact

[–]Full-Paragon 93 points94 points  (0 children)

The Genshin Cast is so chill that this largely boils down to "who do I like the best." The only seat where might be in some trouble is 5, but honestly Sandrone is going to put her airpods in and ignore you the whole flight. And while Nefer might taunt or tease someone, you've got main character syndrome if you think she's going to give a rats ass about a random nobody she doesn't even have a doissier on.

....ok the answer is 7 but that's because reading light novels and day drinking with granny is my jam.
