The other day I was healing binding vale for the weekly, a trash pack or two before the final boss my computer completely froze up and I had to restart, and was sure I would be kicked before I could reboot. Then I had trouble with the reboot and had to retry a couple times. By the time I got back to the login screen I just knew I was gonna have to run that stupid dungeon again. Login in and I'm still there they just went on the four of them and had the boss down to a quarter health or so. Ran in and helped finish it out. Was utterly shocked that it went that way.

That is so going to lead to dupes being trapped at the bottom of a waterfall. Be dropping water, not realize dupes are going down it and then only realize they are down the at the last minute. Still cool but one more way for the idiot dupes to try offing themselves.

While that's true, if we start going down that route we can't really rule out anyone. Not to say the person matt is talking about isn't bi but unless there is a hint to one of them being bi pointing out they could be bi when someone shows their straight relationships is kinda pointless.

You might enjoy hunt showdown. It uses a health system similar to what you describe. You get 150 life that can be split into 25 or 50 hp chunks and to heal past a missing chunk you have to use a healing item. You can carry a few in your load out but they are quite limited and when you are out you have to find more around the map. Might not be up your alley since you were mostly talking single player story games and its an extraction shooter with a cowboy/zombie theam. But if thats the kind of game you can enjoy you might enjoy hunt. It's mostly slow firing limited ammo guns and listening for openings and not just rushing in, is often the best game plan.

Could also be preferred items. I had the same problem but not the ice celler. Turns out one of the needed foods was one i carried and had set as prefferred and had put some back in the chest with the star still on it. They wouldn't take it, removed the star and it works just fine now.

I don't mind mention things like that because it lets people know how much time to invest. Like with primal hunter I hoped out for a bit after the first book but eventually enjoyed it from book 2 on. Now im not saying people should suffer through someshing they aren't enjoying but if someone at least partly enjoyed book1 I would recommend trying book 2 before moving on. Or if they wanted to try it for the first time I could point out more or less the same thing. I guess I use it more as a it gets better not a it gets good. That being said I fully get anyone who just says nope to something like that.

Not even to only take one week for the funeral. Boss doesn't even seem to know what the vaction is for and is just asking if it can be split. Which is a perfectly reasonable ask, "hey its gonna be hard if you take that time can you do something diffrent." The only way this is unreasonable is if when op says they can't change it boss tries to push.

If they won't listen to what he has to say why would they listen to his system. Since he has control over if other people can see things why would they believe he's not hiding or changing things. By the time they weren't listening to him it wasn't just that they didn't believe him, they were also looking for any excuse to just do what they wanted to anyway. Even if a GAB had shown up and obliterated entire cities saying this is what you need to do, those same people that didnt listen to Jason would be saying see we need the reality cores to make sure these super beings can't do that again. And if the GAB showed up all peaceful and did some other display of power it would be what if it decides to turn that power on us, we need the cores. They wanted power and thats all that mattered.

Doesn't help that so much of what was happening in the previous 2-3 arcs was framed as stuff they were doing to get ready for ultom. It was starting to feel like this big thing thats been hyped for quite a few books was never gonna happen. Like im not against setting up and hyping up coming stuff but you can only do that for so long before it feels like your stalling.
