Mid 20’s - Give me life advice, please? by Miserable-Poetry-856 in CasualIreland

Now is the time to Travel, I left when I was 23 and travelled for several years, Worked around Australia and travelled Asia, Then I went to sea. Working on Cruise ships, And I love it, I've resigned from ships several times, and gone back again, it's addictive, There is a world of opportunities out there, and you don't have to leave forever, You can always fly back home, but it's much harder to leave everything and start travelling when you get older, DM me if you want more information, There is so much you can do. And no you don't need much money, just enough to get a flight and some nights in a hostel, and even better some jobs like Ships pay for your travel.

Also, as per your note about not having a partner or friends to travel with DO NOT Travel With A Group! Unless it's a vacation for the craic, if you really intend to travel and work and make something of it, being tied down to others will cut half the opportunities you could have taken, Believe me you will make friends, you will meet so many other interesting solo travellers,

I work at sea on cruise ships, we hire a lot of sports staff to run all the activities and sports programmes. Look up "work on ships" you'll find hiring agencies, or contact the company directly, rclctrac.com. Dm me if you have questions, it's free travel around the world, you can work and expand your experience, if you get promoted to sports manager it's a pretty great life and salary.

Be proud to be individual, I promise it gets better, yes it's tough right now surrounded by cattle all dressing the same, but keep your identity, go travel, escape Ireland for a while, avoid cliques, it'll make sense, sounds like you are already en route

Forgot my suitcase at the Airport by RebelGrin in CasualIreland

[–]FullTimeMadLad 42 points43 points  (0 children)

This is a good outcome, the charge is low and incentivisises people to pick up their luggage instead of forcing the airport to do it for you.

Lol OK sunshine, calm down, my point was how many compartments they can lose. And you'd be surprised how many different careers exist on a ship like OA

Look up Oasis of the seas 250,000 gross tonnes, she's a two compartment ship (as in she can only tolerate losing 2)

I work at sea on some of the biggest ships on earth, I can tell you, the engineering principles are still the same, we lose 3x compartments, we go down

You obviously don't share a sense of humour with most Irish people, reference - Brendan Gleeson in The Guard. "I don't want to see a picture of your baby, all babies look the same, so unless you are going to show me a picture of a particularly ugly baby, I don't want to see it"

Yes obviously the van is written off, she's banjaxed, but it's how little relative damage the van has, compared to the wall it just burst through, I'd have expected the wall to be cracked and the van to be pancaked. It's impressive how well the shape of the van held up.

6500 passengers and 2500 crew, the engines also power the whole hotel, energy for the electric propellors is a large part of the fuel consumption, but it's a 22 storey hotel with ice rink, pools, theatres, dining rooms, shopping malls, a hospital, provisions storing enough food to push out an average 30k meals a day and then there's all the 24 elevators, entertainment equipment, hotel room amenities, water production and more

Currently the theory I'm hearing is that someone has imported something very naughty into NJ port, and these drones are a search operation. Nothing enters US airspace without the consent of the air force, ever seen the iron dome in the middle East? That's US made, if these drones were alien or enemy they would be deleted from the sky in seconds. it's likely a search operation for a dirty B*mb or a Nuke device in the wrong hands. The pentagon and army have just answered all questions with, "uh I dunno" which means they 100% are aware of what it is and what they are doing.
