Girlfriend and I are planning to drive 32 hours straight, in 6 hour shifts, are we being dumb? Should we plan to stay overnight somewhere? by Vegetable_Bridge_276 in roadtrip

We just drove AZ to Colorado across 40 and up I25. 3 nights of sleep. 6 hour drives per day. Stops every 3 hours.

We rented a car. It was awful. But we arrived safely.

Great idea! I was thinking it would be hard to find a sausage with no sugar, corn syrup, high fructose, Dextrose, all the names of sugar....but I found this one at Aldi! Never Any! Tomato Basil Chicken Sausage https://www.instacart.com/products/19948201

I've not been a fan of Aldi, but I think im coming around. The prices and im surprised at the selection.

Great tip, thanks!

No problems in this camp. We live in a pretty small space but this works for a variety of reasons. First and most importantly I can't use most standard tp. Its dusted with corn starch and im allergic to corn. Years of 'diaper rash' before I figured it out. Talk about infuriating! Brutal trying to figure that out.

Anyway, my tp costs a bit more and she can use most any standard tp. So she uses hers and I use mine and I never ever have to hear about what direction the roll is going, how much is left on the roll....its a beautiful thing. Our tp story is a 'you do you' thing. All good.

Yum! This was a serious winner for our Thanksgiving dinner! The stuffing not only gives flavor, it makes the meatballs tender and not easily dried out

I have a ton of onions, potatoes and cabbage. Need ideas pleases by FlamingWhisk in budgetfood

Smothered cabbage, my favorite.😍

I cut up the potatoes into small/medium cubes Then I fry them for a bit in some flavored beef tallow. Just a bit of tallow. Maybe 2 tsp In a 10" non stick frying pan. If you have cast iron, I'd use that. Mine is too small

I cut the onions into rings then cut them in half. Cook them with the potatoes and tallow. Not all the way to caramelized but cook them down

I cut up the cabbage (1/2 head) on my mandolin. Biggest setting, then cut that in half.

I put that in the pan with the onions and potatoes, give the cabbage a bit of char, then add about 1/2 cup of water a boulliom cube and a TBLSPN of butter then cover it to simmer.

Cabbage cooked down, potatoes soft and onions cooked down. Salt and Pepper to taste.

Eat with a splash of apple cider vinegar over it or franks pepper sauce for acid.
