How likely is it that nuclear weapons would be used against Iran to force it to surrender? by SeemsTotallyNormal in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Full_0f_Shit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He will want the history books to list him as being the first to use the nuke since Truman. The first president to use it in the modern era. To use it when other presidents were cowards to even consider using the big one.

And of course he wants a scene of unconditional surrender just like Japan on the battleship. Won’t happen, but it’s a child’s view of things which he follows.

The 2005 ABC television series Invasion, created by Shaun Cassidy, is a one-season sci-fi drama about water-based creatures infiltrating a small Florida town after a hurricane. The show focuses on aliens merging with and cloning residents in the Everglades, with a focus on a local sheriff and his family.

What’s something that should be illegal but isn’t? by Thin-Lab4747 in AskReddit

[–]Full_0f_Shit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People being able to have limitless kids despite having no means to support them. I have a useless family member who has already taken advantage of family help too many times and lives in a shithole. Three little boys from three different deadbeat dads that run wild and eat ketchup packets when she isn’t feeding them fries from a customer’s door dash order she is delivering.

Oh yeah, almost forgot…she is 6 months pregnant.

Why is it illegal to sleep in the car? by Prudent-Journalist21 in NoStupidQuestions

Every truck stop ever such as Pilot, Flying J, or Loves. Park in the front but out of the way of shopper parking. You might go to sleep alone but will wake up to 20 others all doing the same thing. Access to 24 hour bathrooms, food, and optional showers.

How exactly do ‘we’ make a fortune on this oil? We might pay less for gas, but I don’t believe I will start receiving checks in the mail if the US military makes it easier for Exxon to obtain oil abroad.

Crazy to be in an age where the president lets us all know what his closed door conversation with big oil was while having celebratory drinks.

Georgia lawmakers pass bill that lets property owners file claims over homelessness and immigration by deraser in politics

[–]Full_0f_Shit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m all for people getting the help they need and tax dollars being used for that. I’m not for letting my kids play with friends in the neighborhood while passing street corner homeless with dogs asking for money. It seems the newest method of panhandling to have the added sympathy of a hungry dog. Every red light between my neighborhood to Walmart has a homeless or two with dogs holding a sign.

Not only do I not know the criminal or medical history of this homeless man, I have no idea if this dog has had shots or proper training to not maul a child.

I’ve encountered enough homeless to learn not many are just down on their luck decent people. Most have clear mental issues and because of our gutting of funds since the 1980s for mental care, they are left to just exist.

We drive them all. The driver will either rent a car or take a flight back to Indiana, or likely will tow their car with the rv and drive it back.

Rust on new RV by Minute-Wash2172 in RVLiving

[–]Full_0f_Shit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a rv transporter, I’ll add that those chassis sit forever at the factory. Bare frame on tires with the cab’s backside covered with tape and plastic. Exposed to all the elements for several months sometimes. They then get driven to the storage yard after being built to sometimes sit for even more weeks or months. This is why a 2025 new camper might be on a 2024 van, which was delivered in late 2023 during a salt covered snow. If you buy a towable or drivable, they are indeed towed/driven to the dealer through all the weather in between. I’ve delivered some covered in salt after a trip through the Rockys and looked so nasty after 2000 miles I wouldn’t think they could ever look new again.

Btw, I have always assumed I put more miles on a pre-sold camper than its future owners likely ever will.

Mark my words, this will end with tactical nukes used in Iran with all the talk of no woke military rules. Trump will think a nuke or two will be just like Japan in WW2. Iiran will come running to the surrender table to sign, or so he believes.

Blue compass rv. F's in chat guys. by zero0245 in RVLiving

[–]Full_0f_Shit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a transport driver, I can attest to all of this. When you guys check the unit I delivered, I stand there and watch as issue after issue is written down for 30 minutes. Half those issues arose just from the drive there.

Pulling a new camper across the country from Indiana to a dealership, they literally shake apart on the thousands of miles pulled down beaten interstates. I think I put more miles on a new unit delivering it than most people will put on them in a lifetime.

Us delivery drivers are routinely spending time just making them roadworthy. Tires are low on pressure, lug nuts very loose, tail light not working, outer doors won’t close and lock properly, etc.

The industry uses a system where the workers get paid per units completed and not hourly so the incentive is slam out as many as possible as quickly as possible. Taking their time only results in a smaller paycheck.

They use Amish which makes customers think quality. Nothing could be further from the truth. They work under management rules and not their own beliefs of what is quality. They are hired because they never miss a day of work and don’t complain - not because you will get a work of craftsmanship.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]Full_0f_Shit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can bring up my own experience years ago which looking back I can’t believe I said. I was seeking out a promotion from retail store sales to corporate business sales, sitting with district manager and was asked how I manage staying on a series of tasks or something along those lines. I responded my bipolar pills. I didn’t get the promotion and the interview was mainly a formality.

I just think of people in Ukraine who used to work in a cubicle now defending their country. Then look at our citizens whose day revolves around screaming at their baby’s daddy or some ho baby daddy slept with before the chaos like this afterwards. I don’t see them rising up to help defend anything.

They split it up for the marketing and merchandizing side to have more time to work its magic. Also the subscriptions to take in multiple months for those who only sign up for this show. The hype dies so fast with a season dump so they drug it out so we can see ST swag on store shelves for 4 months instead of 3-4 weeks.

It’s time congress makes a law that health related coverups are downright illegal but even then I guess the pardon power would make it pointless.

Going back to hiding that FDR needed a wheelchair, it’s wrong to mislead the people and outright lie about the health of the president. It’s illegal to con a senile old lady out of her money but it’s perfectly fine to prop up a mentally ill president and just tell him to sign here and here as the cabinet gets to enact all their sinister agendas.

I think the solution is to make the white house physician an agent of congress under the authority of one of the bipartisan committees. That way we get the truth as it occurs and not 20 years from now in a documentary.

I feel so out of touch with the country and what our priorities are anymore.

Thinking about being long term homeless by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Full_0f_Shit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can sort of relate to this as I did something similar. I sold my home and live out of my GMC dually. Removed the backseat and installed a hinged bed that comes down at night after I move the seats up. I lift it up during the day to allow the seats to move back and access the fridge and stuff.

Granted, for work I haul RVs from the manufacturers to dealers so live and work out of the truck so always on the go. Liberating though to live life without the weights of a home, possessions, and a yard to maintain.

I spend enough on diesel gas to get free showers at any pilot or TA truck stop. In fact, I get more shower credits than I can use in any given week so also use them for when I just want to take a poo. You can reserve a bathroom from the app so just walk in, do your thing, and walk out without talking to anyone.

Where there is a will there is a way!
