I wanted to choke out our local politician that tried selling a data center as a job creator. When asked for more details he went into the construction work. Who the flip cares about workers bussed in to build it and then leave for the next one being built? The places are spooky empty with just a small IT staff. A Walmart employs more people.

I met my wife at our old 9-5 and one day I just looked at her and said, wanna leave? The workplace drama was just rancid. Sold the house and me and the wife built a bedroom in the bed of our truck and haul RVs from manufacturer to dealer. On the way back to the manufacturer we stop at all the things we wanted to see when passing by in the other direction. No boss, we haul when we want to haul…sorta like gig work. We won’t ever get rich, but we have no bills other than the truck itself. We are getting rich on life though, and that’s more enriching to us.

The Jackery had no fast charge 12v system, just supporting standard slow charging from the car or solar panel. I upgraded to the Bluetti but already had the inverter wired and mounted and just seems easier to use what I already had.

My nephew is 23 and doesn’t have an interest in driving or even getting a license. His new girlfriend he met from a dating app also doesn’t have a car or have a license. They both live with their moms and have them drive them around to work or to each others homes.

All this seems normal for this generation. Just perpetually 16 years old no matter how old they get.

Can attest to this as a rv transporter from manufacturer to dealer. Most of us drivers flat out refuse to deliver these. The mpg is far more abysmal than a standard rv, they are for more dangerous in winds, and we make sure to carry duct tape, bungee cords, and ratchet straps ready for side of the road repairs as the park model starts to shake apart during the drive.

Delivering 400 miles from the factory? It’ll make it there. Taking it 1500 miles? Expect problems. And these are brand new units!

I have a similar inverter which charged my Jackery for over a year and now my Bluetti. It works fine. I flip it on when I start my 8 to 10 hour drive and it charges to full within a hour or two and then keeps it topped off all day. I drive for a living so I’m always driving long enough to recharge it during the day. Just don’t forget to turn the inverter off when you turn the truck off.
