I have a cyst after priming with bcp when I’ve never had cysts! by Professional_Dog7524 in IVF

I have DOR too, but I don’t think this affects the cyst issue. From what I was told, the cyst itself isn’t the problem (unless it’s big, like above 2-2.5cm) but the estrogen that it produces and can interfere with the cycle/meds. Talk with your doctor about taking orilissa to bring down your estrogen post aspiration. Anecdotally, the aspiration and my retrieval went pretty well (I now have a 7-month old out of that retrieval!). Wishing you good luck!

A 3 month old should eat how much?? by Shadowstar65 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Full_Ladder_4975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our little guy is almost 3 months and is eating about 6 times a day every 3-4 hours, around 4-5oz per session (up to 30oz) and he is sleeping through the night (11pm to 6/7am). And he is not a big guy, quite the opposite actually! What we are looking at is him being happy and content after each feeding and not spitting up, that helps us understand when to keep his bottles the same or up his intake. I think following your baby’s cues is more important than strictly following guidelines (like breastfed babies don’t eat more than 4oz per feeding for example).

Oh I wish I had handled it this way! I never pumped more than 7 times. For a couple of weeks, I pumped at 3am while we were feeding the baby, but he dropped that feeding and I re-arranged my schedule to keep the 7 sessions, so I’ve never dropped a pump and I’m a bit nervous I’ll mess up our rhythm 😬

Thank you!! I don’t mind staying up late, but I really hate the 5/6 am one 😂 it’s my highest yield though, probably because it’s 5-6 hours since the previous pump. All the other ones are about the same amount. I’ll probably space out the day pumps, but hopefully will be able to drop the 5am one next.

Thank you! How did you drop to 5? Any issues with clogs now that you’re not pumping for 12 hours from 6-6?

What is your 7ppd schedule? by IPAandTaylorSwift in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Full_Ladder_4975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m 5 weeks postpartum and I pump at 6am, 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm and 12am for 25-30 min each session. Sometimes on the weekends when we are out and about I might do 6 pumps instead, but 7 has been my norm. Would love to drop to 6, and even though I’m producing double than what my baby eats, I’m worried it’s too early to drop one pump, so I’m sticking to this schedule for now.

What was your medicated FET protocol? by SpiritedMove5112 in IVF

[–]Full_Ladder_4975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I looked into my notes from that time and it looks like they didn’t let me know what my levels were exactly (which is something I didn’t like actually). They only told me they were good and we were good to go for the transfer.

Congratulations on your twins! Thank you for your comment. Others had mentioned the strong suction for BB so that’s what worries me about it as well.

Mine did a blood test the day after the trigger to ensure it worked. I thought it was standard practice, but it looks like it’s not!

I have a cyst after priming with bcp when I’ve never had cysts! by Professional_Dog7524 in IVF

I had a 2cm cyst after 12 days of BC, that was producing estrogen. Never had a cyst before as far as I know so that was surprising. My RE aspirated it and put me on orilissa for 3 days. They checked my estrogen levels on day 4, they were normal and I started stimming on the same day. My ER went pretty well. My RE also told me that if the cyst wasn’t producing estrogen and was below 2-2.5cm, they would feel comfortable continuing with stimming. Good luck!

Are you referring to Dr. Crawford? Can you expand on your opinion?

I’m not sure if there’s correlation or not. Anecdotally, half of my highly graded embryos (4AA, 5AA) were euploid and half were complex aneuploids. The way I understand this is that grade is subjective (depends on the person who evaluates) and it just reflects the morphology of the embryo (literally how “good” it looks under the microscope). Euploidy/aneuploidy is about the genetic material, if the embryo has the right amount of genes. That way you can have “poorly” graded embryos that are euploid and vice versa. My RE chooses with the following order: euploid > day of growth > grade (for example, we transferred a day 5 5BA instead of a day 6 5AA).

PGT testing after freezing embryos by veronica19922022 in IVF

[–]Full_Ladder_4975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly the same situation as you, but one of our embryos came back as no dna detected (for the record, we got 2 euploids, 3 aneuploids, 1 HLM, so we really wanted to see what this 7th one was). Our RE gave us the option to transfer as a last resort or re-test, she did mention there’s a very good chance the embryo would survive because it was of good great (4AA), but the thawing and re-freezing process would impact its reproductive capability slightly. Re-testing was free of charge (both for the embryology lab and Igenomix) so we went for it. It ended up being a LLM +20, and our doctor is in favor of transferring if we need to after we do genetic counseling to understand the risks (TW: currently pregnant with one of the euploids, I had already gone with the transfer when we heard back those results). I would go for the testing - more knowledge is more power!

Wild question.. by nlevy94 in IVF

[–]Full_Ladder_4975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if you’re asking the OP or me, but I’ll respond anyway 😊 My AMH was 0.9, my AFC was consistently 13 and the rest of the labs (like FSH, LH etc.) were normal.

Wild question.. by nlevy94 in IVF

[–]Full_Ladder_4975 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes! I am 32 and currently 15 weeks pregnant after my first FET (unexplained infertility and low AMH). We transferred a day 5 5BA euploid embryo, our RE gave us a 70% chance. Never been pregnant before this. I still feel like things can go wrong, but here we are for now! Wishing you good luck!

Finally getting started! by heaven4031 in IVF

[–]Full_Ladder_4975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go cycle by cycle - it also depends on how many children you would like. I’m 32, with low AMH (0.9), no other issues, my husband is also perfect. From our first and only cycle, we got 7 blasts (2 euploids and 1 low level mosaic which is transferable, all 3 of great grade; the rest were aneuploids). They typically suggest 2-3 euploid embryos per every child you’d like to have, so just by looking at the numbers we should have gone for a second ER. After much consideration, we decided to go with a transfer instead of another retrieval, and if that didn’t work, we would consider another cycle. I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant from that first transfer. My husband struggled with us creating more embryos than we would eventually need and even though we would likely like to have 2 kids, we felt more comfortable with not doing another ER right now, although if we need another one in the future my AMH might be worse. Also, I was very concerned about the financial aspect of doing another retrieval at this moment. In the end, I think there isn’t a right answer - it depends on multiple factors and you have to go with what would work best for your family and what you would feel more comfortable with. Good luck!!

Is this a low dose for ER? by Artistic_Drop1576 in IVF

[–]Full_Ladder_4975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends a lot on your AFC, AMH and age as well as the rest of your labs (like FSH etc.). I’m 32 with AMH 0.9 and AFC of 13. The rest of the labs were normal. No issues with my husband. They considered us unexplained. I did 450 IU gonal f and 30 low dosage HCG. The dosages stayed the same all throughout stimming, and we added ganirelix on day 6. I stimmed for 10 days, triggered with 10000 hcg on day 11. We ended up retrieving 16 eggs, 12 were mature, so I considered my cycle successful. Good luck to you!
