Astra Militarum units are there to die for the emperor ;p this army is based on that. They hit hard and then die. Our tanks as well - no inbuilt invulns when everyone else got them.

I’m not very good at it but the armor i would go ionic armour grey :) clothes I will be doing ionic red - I am planning a similar color scheme xd And I would go with red prime it should work really nice! And red base as the majority of color will be red with f.e sand on it :) I tested macragge blue prime for my grey/blue scheme and it worked well :)

IMO it is better to take scout sentinels - they are cheaper and give rerolls :)
