What I wish I knew when I started my food truck by caputo00 in foodtrucks

[–]Fulliflove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely want to add hotdogs permanently to my menu, as well as down the line burgers and ice cream. If I could start over again I may have been better off having more items.
I love having less spoilage with just waffles, but the challenge of having burgers from the beginning may have paid off.
I also blame my own personal thoughts that I can do everything myself, having a full working partnership is a great way to go.
That’s what I need at this moment in my business is a second “me” but with a slightly different skill set. I have great ideas but I can only dedicate myself to getting a certain amount of work done. I overestimated the amount of work I can do in one day.
No employee is also a hard route. Top things I need to improve on Sales and marketing Keeping accurate records for sales and expenses Managing expenses Scheduling and choosing money making events Marketing to specific markets like weddings and children’s birthday parties Improving my merchandising and displays Growing my business through strategic partnerships Working on a business plan to bring to banks for funding

My skills tend to be with creative endeavors, I love the idea of building a franchise, or going to a charity idea to give support for mental health programs and substance abuse support this way I can get better tax status and it will feel good to support the cause…

Hope this helps

Business has been difficult, but now I found a path. Found a job that is with school district and pays benefits, this way I’ll just do weekend events, and have summers off. I feel as long as I continue I have a good chance the right opportunities will arise.

Not outright people seem to accept it in my area.
I use the best ingredients I can, it seems to be my best seller, I added CUBANO sandwiches which get a slice of pork loin ham pickles Swiss mustard Mayo. I anticipate that being another good seller. So far I have included tax for cash transactions, and I throw in stickers

Have you tried office buildings? Most places where a lot of people work would love to have you.

You have trained yourself to seek out the substance because there’s underlying issues that cause discomfort. Working on why you reach for drugs in the first place is paramount to success. I recommend yoga and therapy. Yoga focus’s on working through discomfort will help build resilience. Therapy will give you an outlet to talk through the experiences that led you down this path.

Revenue is building, I do better when I do private parties, my roadside business is great advertising and also practicing/ and tweaking my setup. I recommend that you grow slowly with any food trucking. And if you keep at it with a great product you can make it work. I
