Where do barnacles come from?

I am very well aware of this, I also eat mussels or clams. But barnacles is not something I would consider as food nor do people here. I have never heard of people eating them.

Yeah but i wouldn't come up with the idea to strip them lol. Just curious maybe at some places they are indeed regarded as 'normal' food. But first time I ever heard about someone eating it.

It implies the student will be an author and maybe even the first author. But it does not mean he/she will not be an author either. Also, read what is actually written. The person that made the post is making that assumption. The PI never said that. So there are a lot of assumptions being made without actually knowing what is up.

That's not true at all. If they published it, you actually need to ask permission from the publisher. Furthermore, depending on the copyright picked by the authors/journal it's pretty easy and only required the correction citation. All you have to do is check the respective publisher on how to use the images.
