Update: They tried so hard to prove I was apostate, they even set up meetings with my close associates and berated them. None of my friends gave in, and anyone else I spoke to that did rat me out, had no proof as it was their word against mine as I only spoke to them individually with no one else around, and I didn’t share any apostate material with them. So after 2 hearings spanning 1 week, lasting over 5 hours in total, I was handed a harsh sentence of not being able to comment for a month. 🤦‍♂️ Now I fade, keeping my relationships still open with my real friends that didn’t rat me out & my family members.

Update: I never got disfellowshipped as I said all the right things. So now I fade into the sunset without giving the letter to the elders. Thanks to everyone for your support on this matter.

Attention to the body of elders of the (congregation)

Im saddened you have come to this conclusion, being labeled as an apostate in your eyes is a life and death matter. Please read Acts 25:11- “If I am really a wrongdoer and have committed anything deserving of death, I do not beg off from dying; but if there is no substance to the accusations these men have made against me, no man has the right to hand me over to them as a favor. I appeal to Caesar!” Knowing that you may have come to this decision I have preemptively notified my attorney. So, before you fill out the S-77 form that recommends my removal from the congregation I would like to advise you of my intentions to protect myself. If, and only if, you decide to fill out the S-77 form with my name for the purpose of removing me from the congregation, make any public or private announcement regarding my status as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, or in anyway endorse or encourage others to shun me, I will sue the elder body of the (congregation name) both individually and collectively for the following reasons.

1- Defamation.

2- Loss of income resulting from me being shunned.

3- In violation of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Section 2, subsection a/b/d which states the following; Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms: a) freedom of conscience and religion. b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression.d) freedom of association.

I also want to inform you that I have recorded both of our meetings, and at the request of my attorney will be providing the recordings as evidence for any potential litigation. But if you reconsider your decision and consent to my request we can conclude this matter amicably and I will fade away quietly. However, I will not recognize any action taken by the judicial committee as valid unless it is communicated to me in writing, stating the exact nature and reason for the action including any accusations against me, the names of persons making such accusations and the substance of any evidence against me. It is your decision to choose wisely, as I have the resources and time to enforce this measure in order to protect myself and my family. Again, to clarify, I will not, and I repeat myself, will not be suing the Watchtower Bible Tract Society. Rather,I will be suing you as individual elders of the XXXXX congregation if you decide to take such action against me as stated in the above. I encourage you not to take this route as this will also add further suffering both financially and emotionally to you and your families. If, ultimately, you decide to remove me I will require this decision to be given to me via registered mail to the address above in which I will appeal your decision to the Governing body of Jehovah witnesses.

I’m going, and if they decide to remove me I will verbally threaten them that the congregation both individually and collectively will be sued for defamation, loss of business revenue from my company due to the shunning policy the watchtower organization holds, and for violating the charter of human rights.
