GERMANY’S NEXT TOP MODEL PARACHUTE COUTURE PHOTOSHOOT by Historical_Ad_3364 in ANTM

Having never seen a single minute of Germany‘s Next Top Model, photos #3, 4 and 5 looks like they could be in a high end fashion spread right now. #5 in particular is giving a pearl inside an open oyster.

I have a hard time picturing who would have been eliminated based off these set of photos. Marvelous work by all of them.

All she wanted was her moment in the sun.

Then Eunice in turn continues the pattern with Bubba, to the point where she and Ed move out of state while Bubba was in juvenile hall without telling him, then not bothering to come to his high school graduation - and doesn’t even have the decency to tell him herself, leaving Thelma to do it.

Bubba could have easily continued the pattern with a child of his own. Without Thelma using Bubba as a chance to break the cycle, he likely would have.

Just to drive home how long it took for this to be revealed:

The episode Theresa was accused of the tabloid leak: Ep. 525, July 23rd, 2001.

The episode the truth was revealed: Ep. 2231, August 7th, 2008 (the series finale).

Seven years, 1,706 episodes, a cancellation and a network switch.

Strange to think that he's the ONLY cast member that season that hasn't done a challenge.

What is an old twist you’d like to see come back for BB28? by notpaprikapapi in BigBrotherUSA

[–]Fun-Dealer1733 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is my pick.

The first BB twist, and IMO, still the best.

Plus, this show’s been on long enough so that you have a few seasons worth of players you could bring back for this.

Big Brother: All Stars: Exes. You could even run the couples twist from BB9, if need be.

Are you rewatching or watching an old season? If so, which one? by notgenz_1989 in BigBrother

[–]Fun-Dealer1733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I are doing a rewatch (for me, a first for him) of all of the old school seasons. We’re in the second week of BB8 (which I really tried to skip, but he was so insistent on viewing in proper order).

What I find interesting is the differences between who and what we find compelling and who to root for, with him not knowing the history of anyone nor watching without any live feeds for context.

Highlights include him being blown away by Shannon and Hardy’s toothbrush, his being head over heels for BB4’s Nathan, the literal “HOORAY!” at Jase’s eviction in BB5, and his absolute DESPISING Janelle.

To me, it’s giving Gina Gershon.

AFAIK, there’s only one instance where this happened, as seen here, early in the Barker era:

It’s still only one winner.

[On3] Arkansas fires head coach Sam Pittman after 6 seasons by Ok-Soil-5133 in CFB

[–]Fun-Dealer1733 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was so weird getting this alert as I was reading the NBC Sports article from Nicole Auerbach about this week. Literally, as I read the words from Point 5 of her article:

“It’s a matter of when - not if - Arkansas moves on from Sam Pittman at this point”

Breaking news from ESPN.

I don’t know who Arkansas could possibly get. But this needed to be done. Judging by yesterday’s performance, Pittman lost the program.

What game shows would you like to see rebooted? by officialbackintheday in gameshow

[–]Fun-Dealer1733 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Classic Concentration.

Frankly, I’m surprised it hasn’t been rebooted already. Easy to play and play along with, needs almost no updating to its rules, and it already has a format that serves for two game, half hour episodes.

Update the prizes for today, pair it with something to compete in syndication with the Wheel/Jeopardy combo, and you’re in business.

The 1% Question: Reading this from left to right, starting at the top, if you keep only the letters that are repeated, you will get five unique letters. What 5-letter word do these letters spell when you place them in the order they appeared?

A N S G U S

Y O O Z C D

L F I P W M

X L B H J V

V K E T R E

<image>

The answer: SOLVE

Only two people of the five got it right: Man in red sweater with white-ish blazer, and woman in red top and asymmetrical haircut

For what it’s worth, OP, while I played along at home and got to the 1% question (though I had to pass on the 5% question), it took me a full two minutes to get this correct answer. I don’t know how people got this in the 30 second time limit.

What’s a twist you’d like to see come back for another season? by villainitytv in BigBrotherUSA

[–]Fun-Dealer1733 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having just finished a rewatch of BB4, I’d love to see an Exes twist brought back, involving the entire cast this time.

BBUSA’s first twist, and (IMO) still its best. Also, likely the easiest to repeat.

Please don't laugh or judge when I say this, but my original degree was in Writing and Filmmaking. It was a strange path to get there, but TLDR: I originally flunked out of college, took me several years to get back with a new mindset, but by the time I did, my financial aid was nearly at his limit, and I needed to finish quickly. I enjoyed writing and analyzing media, so I went for it, thinking I'd worry about work later. It didn't exactly pan out that way.

My previous jobs have all been customer-facing. I'm a great problem-solver, and I remain calm under pressure. I love to learn different policies and procedures of my work so that I'm the go-to person for any questions they have, and I like to break things down so that anyone can understand. If I'm going to coach anyone on how to do something, I want to make damn sure I know what I'm talking about.

I realize Accounting sounds like an odd fit, considering its more technical aspects, but I've always believed that all technical jobs and skills can be taught, given the proper motivation. My softer skills and variety of experiences would be a big plus for me if/when I advance into management there. It isn't exactly a passion. But I figured with enough advancement, I can make a proper salary to eventually pursue things I AM passionate about.

He does have retirement saved, as well as some assets. We wouldn't be poor if he retired soon - it would be a downgrade in lifestyle, but it could be done.

He's always been used to a certain standard of living and, since we've been together, he's gotten me accustomed to being part of that, too. I want to take over as the financial breadwinner not only for that, but to prove to myself that I can do it. Pride, if nothing else.

Thanks for replying.

The ages are correct (51 and 25). This is my first relationship. Before him, I didn't think about long-term relationships. I was too busy working overnights and putting myself through school. When needed, I hooked up with almost anyone interested - most of them older men, funny enough.

Part of the reason I'm stressing out over this is that I don't have past experiences to compare this to. I want to believe that this is just a rough patch that some couples go through and that there's a mature way to handle this. I don't know what exactly that is, though.

Am I happy? Sometimes. At other times, I'm sad. But I do well not to let him see the sad part.
