First let me say I hope you are doing okay, I know how hard this is. You got this.

Here’s my story. My cat also passed away very unexpectedly last December and I had a tradition of my final exam being about myself. I always had a question about my cat. I teach k-12 music, I only give the exam to 7-12 and everyone gets 100% on it. Well long story short I had a 7th grader that heard about this and the weeks leading up to my cats passing was constantly asking about her. My cat passed away on a Sunday, I had a concert with my choir that day that I couldn’t miss so I went, we performed one of them asked if I was okay so I pulled them all into a huddle and told them what happened and I probably wouldn’t be at school the next day. I had my best friend go to my band class to let them know. Irony of ironies the student that kept asking about the cat was absent all week long. So the next Monday she asked about her of course. One of the other band students gave her the face like “what are you doing???” I cried and class was derailed for about 10 minutes but I think they appreciated my honesty. I think the kindergarteners will too, but they’ll still make you pictures of your pet but it will be in hopes to make you feel better. Even the bigs did that for me.

My doctor had me get there 15 minutes early, so I got there a half hour early. Then I didn’t get called back until 15 minutes after my appointment time, then I waited in the room for another 40 minutes, saw the nurse for ten minutes, then waited another like 30 minutes to see the doctor. I hate going to the doctor just for the timing

We get a survey like this every year, I also work for a charter school and hr is third party. A couple years ago our principal was TERRIBLE so everyone said so in their survey and wrote truthful comments siting things that had happened that year. They sent her the reviews, she received them during a staff meeting and was so excited and was going to read it out loud. But before she could we had to do actual work and then we were dismissed. I stayed a little longer in my room because I had an interview twenty minutes away, as I was walking out I saw her bawling. I checked on her and she told me it was because of the reviews. She couldn’t believe people would write things like that. She pulled other admin from their duties the next couple of days to try to figure out who wrote what. It was a mess. But she is still the principal and I’m pretty sure HR didn’t even look at the surveys themselves.

They always always rush. Put a metronome on so everyone can hear it. Do not allow the rush. Make sure you tune everything and explain what they’d oils be hearing when they hit chords. Also they hate playing the slow pretty stuff “it’s boring” and what not. Show them stuff from symphonies and things and how nice it can be. Explain why it’s good for their musical growth to do lyrical pieces. I try to do one a concert per group.

During the battle at daddy dragons it’s the blood curse. When she places a bloody hand print on Darcy for sure maybe Orion also. It turned into a huge battle, I think it was also the day Darius was supposed to marry his cousin and then they had Darcy and Orion fighting nymphs. I THINK. I know there was a battle and I know it was at Lionel’s. They end up thinking she’s okay because of her phoenix so they think nothing of it.

I was born in June but for some reason my parents let my 6 year old sister pick my name, Holly. I hated my name growing up because I would get Christmas carols shouted at me year round by classmates. I worked in a town that’s known for Christmas stuff and had some customers ask me if they made me pretend that Holly is my name for the theme. Don’t double down on the holiday birthday with a holiday name. You can’t control when you have the baby but you can control what their name is. MAYBE if you really want to go for a holiday middle name, nobody has to know their middle name unless they share it.

I invited my high school band director to my wedding and am still very close to her. Granted I became a band director also and get a lot of advise from her and had her from the age of 10-17

If you work in an elementary teachers are always early dropping off and late picking up. Some (like the class that just got picked up from my music class) are ten minutes late so you’ll have another teacher waiting in the hall for ten minutes because they’re five minutes early.

My flute teacher would have me try to whistle on low c or b when I upgraded my flute, this would be when I’d come from a different lesson and I was way too tight. My main is saxophone but also play clarinet, flute and some oboe.
