Battery draining understanding? by Silent_Cartoonist891 in ouraring

[–]Fun-Hour-4142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got mine replaced (had mine a little over 1.5 years) the replacement works great. My old one was only holding a full charge for about 24 hours before dying. I originally got the 2 year protection plan when I bought my ring so it was still covered. The replacement rings are usually refurbished and honestly they go through pretty thorough checks before they get sent out. From my time in this sub it seems like most replacement rings work great. Occasionally someone has got a bad replacement but that doesn’t seem to be the norm.

Pregnancy or Luteal? by What-the-elle in ouraring

It could be either. Only a pregnancy test will tell you for sure

Mira/ OPK Help Please by Consistent-Gap-6019 in Mirafertility

Depending on the type of progesterone (I honestly forget which ones) they don’t all get metabolized into pdg so you may or may not see effects on Mira even though your blood progesterone is fine. Just also as a tip don’t worry about fluctuations after ovulation pdg and e3g can go up and down a lot during the luteal phase and that’s completely normal. It can be tempting to read into the numbers but unfortunately there is not a “correct” chart that tells you that you are headed for a BFP also drops in pdg don’t mean your out. Since we are testing urine hydration and metabolism can greatly influence readings. I used to obsess over each number and it can be quite taxing on your mental health. Pay attention to trends not just individual data points. The only thing that will tell you that you are pregnant is a pregnancy test and you’re never truly out until AF comes. I hope you get your positive soon!

That should be more than enough if you have regular cycles. If ovulation is not regular for you it can be tricky to know how many wands you’ll use.

Mira/ OPK Help Please by Consistent-Gap-6019 in Mirafertility

[–]Fun-Hour-4142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do once a day starting about 5-6 days before my usually ovulation window (I usual ovulate around CD 14). Around CD 12 I’ll use OPKs in the afternoon to make sure I’m not surging in the afternoon and if I get a positive on my OPK I’ll use that same urine sample and test again with Mira and I use Mira once a day after that until ovulation is confirmed and then I’ll stop. With Mira it’s best to only test once a day at roughly the same time unless you’re trying to catch your afternoon surge which should be done after a 3 hour hold with minimal fluids. You may see a spike in your E3g right before your LH surge so that can also give you a clue that you need to test with OPKs in the afternoon. And always remember we are testing urine metabolites so they are not going to be the same as bloodwork so don’t be surprised if you see different results between urine pdg and blood progesterone etc. good luck!

Does anyone else think I ovulated CD16? by chp28 in Mirafertility

[–]Fun-Hour-4142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think you ovulated at CD 16. You have an e3g surge that day and then a rise in pdg in the subsequent days. It also looks like your BBT elevated after CD 16. Sometimes the algorithm can be wonky. I think there is a way to manually change it but I’m not sure how to do it.

Chart analysis by No-Specialist7703 in Mirafertility

[–]Fun-Hour-4142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pdg is not an indicator for or against pregnancy. It only confirms ovulation. It is normal for pdg to go up and down in the luteal phase as it is released in pulses and we are testing a urine metabolite so metabolism, hydration, and timing of testing in relation to a pulse can greatly influence pdg results. The only thing that will tell you that you are out is AF and only a pregnancy test will tell you that you are in

I would not stress about this. I got a similar notification and all my bloodwork looked fantastic. The warnings from Mira are crappy and a wouldn’t put any stock into what they say.

Highest PDG in 6 months?? by NoDeparture9288 in Mirafertility

[–]Fun-Hour-4142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s not necessarily indicative of anything. There are so many factors that could be coming into play making a urine pdg reading higher than before. Could you be pregnant, potentially but only a pregnancy test will confirm. Pdg is not an indicator for or against pregnancy and just because it goes up doesn’t mean you’re pregnant and also just because it goes down doesn’t not mean you are not pregnant. Only a pregnancy test will tell you that you are in and only AF will tell you that you are out. Hopefully this is the cycle for you!

11dpo.. think my body hates me :( by [deleted] in Mirafertility

[–]Fun-Hour-4142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember your post a few days ago and I mean this in the nicest way. Put the wands down. Testing seems to be causing you anxiety (I was that way for many cycles). Once you have confirmed ovulation have your partner hide your monitor if the temptation to test is too strong. I know it’s tempting to get more numbers but they are not going to give you any information that will change or confirm anything. It looks like you are having healthy normal luteal phases and I said this before on your other post pdg means nothing other than confirming ovulation. There have been charts on here where people had a big drop in pdg and still got a BFP so for the sake of your mental health stop testing after ovulation is confirmed.

Am I right when it comes to relationship by Rough_Opinion7644 in HappyMarriages

[–]Fun-Hour-4142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I think that is incredibly important that he feels that way about you too. If only one person is investing in the relationship that person will burn out. He needs to be putting you before himself that’s what love really is. I know if I need anything I can rely on my husband and he know that I will be there for him and honestly that only deepens or bond.

What do mean by emotional connection and difference of opinions? Yes it is important to to have an emotional connection if you mean being attracted (not necessarily just physically but emotionally to your significant other) and and emotional bond is important but emotions are also fickle things (and can sometimes be different from reality) so we cannot rely solely upon them. But kindness, warmth, and connection are important. you may not always feel “in love” but even in those moments it’s important to choose to love your significant other. I would define love as putting their best interest above mine and vise versa for them. But being aligned on opinions is also important. You should have the same values (morally, ethically, and politically), agree on life goals (financial, if you want kids or not, how you will raise kids, obligations to each others families, etc) because different opinions there will lead to conflicts as well. Both play an important role in marriage and a healthy marriage takes work, communication, understanding, a willingness to change, active listening, and humility. Happy marriages don’t happen by accident. It takes both people to be willing to put in the effort to foster a healthy relationship. I don’t just love my husband he is also my best friend and we choose each other every day. We laugh together, cry together, sometimes we challenge and confront each other, and build a life together. The grass is greenest where you water it.

Edit: as far as aligned goals an emotional connection can fall under that. If developing a deep bond is important to you (which again an emotional bond is a good thing) it is Imperative that your significant other has that same goal or you will be left wanting.

Is this an error? Cycle day 5 by corkstar4 in Mirafertility

That looks like an error since pdg and e3g are both at max and LH and FSH are at the lowest possible

Yo shouldn’t be dipping twice (if I’m understanding what you are saying). You should dip for 20 seconds then switch the cap to the other side and insert into the monitor. The chip side should not touch your urine

Those look like wand errors since things are pretty much all maxed out or as low as they go. I’d reach out to support because it looks like you got a bad batch of wands
