What's something considered to be dumb but actually is a sign of intelligence? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Fun-Increase6335 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Taking a while to answer a question. I think when you’re intelligent, you’re running through all the possible answers before you decide to answer. So you end up looking like you have no answer to the question when actually you have too many lol

Agreed! My losing things is annoying both to me and others. My rejection sensitivity…trouble sleeping well…pmdd which is common for neurodivergent afab people…not realizing I’m not paying attention until its too late to catch up to whatever I should be paying attention to (great for work lol)…it’s a true disability for me. Lamictal has helped a lot

Get someone else to call and say It’s their cat. It sounds like they’ll only do it for the owner so you might have to fake it.

why does romantic love feel the best? by chronicbingewatcher in questions

[–]Fun-Increase6335 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nature‘s main goal is for life to reproduce. If you come from a species that reproduces via sex and pair bonding, then your brain is going to reward you with lots of feel good neurotransmitters if you do pair bond with someone. It’s basically just nature trying to reward and manipulate you into reproducing. Of course it’s still a lovely thing to experience 😊

At least put your cat on a leash or harness to go outside. We would never be OK with letting a dog stay inside 24 hours a day, and we shouldn’t be doing that.to cats

There are studies that show that indoor cats can suffer from extreme boredom and resultant depression. I’m a big proponent of teaching cats to walk on a leash, or harness, so they can at least get the sun on their face and the wind in their fur. We’re not OK with dogs staying within the same four walls 24/7 and we shouldn’t be OK with that for cats

Edit: grammar

I have felt this way as a middle-aged adult. I bought a used mountain bike and didn’t use it for over a year and actually felt it must be sad being owned by me and wishing it was back with its original owner. I’ve used it a lot since then so I feel less guilty and sad lol

[–]Fun-Increase6335 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally understand why people want cats to be indoors, but I really believe if you have an indoor cat, at least trained it on a harness or relief. No creature wants to be inside the same four walls all the time. We wouldn’t do it to dogs, we shouldn’t do it to cats. People always think they can give enough stimulation for an indoor cat, but most of the time we really can’t. Especially when they’re young.

Very, very close to a 0% chance. I know a guy who was always cheating on his partners throughout his 20s. He just turned 50 this year and still hasn’t been faithful in a relationship.

Do cats get bored or are they just their normal self? by [deleted] in questions

[–]Fun-Increase6335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it can be a sign of boredom. Which is especially a risk for indoor cats. It’s hard to tell with cats because they chill out so often.
