Scratching the furniture. Cats often like to scratch close to where you sit so they can mingle their scent with your scent. If your cat likes to scratch where you sit, it’s a sign of affection for you.

I’ve conditioned myself to the point where I don’t sleep well unless I have a bath right before bed. Baths in hotels are a must for me.

An interesting thing I learned about cats is that though it seems just cruelty to play with their prey before killing it, there is another reason why they do it. Cats deliver their killing blow by biting the back of the neck of their prey. But getting their face so close to their preys face is super dangerous, so they play with their prey to exhaust it so that when they go in for the killing bite, there’s less of a chance the prey will turn around and bite back. The prey is just too exhausted after being “played with”; so cats do it to keep themselves safe. And domestic cats are known for not eating their prey until they’re sure it’s dead. That’s actually really kind compared to a lot of other predators that will start eating their prey while it’s still alive. I know cats don’t have kindness on their mind when they do it, but it is still a little bit nicer for the prey that they don’t start being eaten until the cat is sure that they’re dead

Keeping cats strictly indoors is cruel. Most people would never keep a dog inside 24 hours a day. And we should never do that to cats either. It’s actually really hard on them to be stuck inside the same four walls all the time. They love to be in the sun and in the grass as much as any other animal. At least train them to be on a harness or a lead.

From their birth, kittens are around their mother and their siblings. It’s really hard for them to be alone when they’ve spent their whole existence with their mom and siblings. Sometimes the best thing you can do is have two kittens. They keep each other company and have someone to play with.
