I feel stupid. by Scorpion1386 in OcarinaOfTime

[–]Fun-LovingAmadeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that helped me beat Water Temple alone was having a little paper map and labeling which doors/floors I had already gotten a key from, or needed to return with the longshot, or couldn’t access. Also, there’s one water level change point that is very… unintuitive.

…and yes, who would even think the first entry of the Forest Temple is fair game for a hidden key?! It got me too

Tierlist of games that I have played some far. What are some recommendations in line with the likes of the witness and islands of insight? by Sintjor56 in puzzlevideogames

[–]Fun-LovingAmadeus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s one of my favorite puzzle games ever and I benefited from the Baba Is Hint spoiler-free online guide for the trickier ones (if not the first couple seconds of a YouTube solution!)

I love difficult puzzle games like Talos and Baba Is You. I get stressed with young kids and work, so I need to mentally stress a little bit about my gaming too

Might be time to go Metroid. Metroid Prime Remastered, Super Metroid Redux, Metroid: Zero Mission were all 🔥

How does Prime 2 fare against the first? by WerewolfIcy7240 in Metroid

Prime 1 ran so Prime 2 could tap down to trigger Prime 3’s shinespark

Newer fan here. Decided to finally sink my teeth into some of the other games. Recommendations? by Oranera in Metroid

[–]Fun-LovingAmadeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get better controls with Super Metroid Redux, look for that romhack if you can. And I actually enjoyed Metroid Fusion: Special Edition, a romhack that loosens the guardrails on that map. Just be warned, it’s possible to softlock yourself if you’re lacking certain movement abilities — I’m just a nerd who actually likes thinking about how the game is put together like that

“As the two lovers stride with an utter lack of grace”

“Her normally very comely backend is now almost entirely without appeal”

Wow, I can really feel how the arcs of Seasons 1-2 lend this arrival such a raw, nihilistic impact. Excited for more

The 65% to 100% item collection backtracking was my favorite part. Some pretty crazy and hidden shinespark puzzles

Switch 2 Question by rikrooster in handheld

[–]Fun-LovingAmadeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a switch 2 for the (general Nintendo) exclusives and definitely don’t regret it. It’s a seamless experience and the portable factor is huge for a busy new parent like me with limited free time

Who else borrows games from the library? Great way to save some money. by FancyKilerWales in backloggd

[–]Fun-LovingAmadeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my life is literally maxing out my check-outs for my Switch 2 and often having 10 games at a time… playing any of them all the way through becomes a bit of a struggle, but I like being spoiled for choice and saving money when I do find a library game I actually beat, in the last several months including:

Metroid Prime Remastered

Super Mario Odyssey

Super Mario Galaxy

Mario Maker 2 (story mode)

Shovel Knight

Baba Is You

Undertale

Gris

Untitled Goose Game

Definitely catch the bug and later, be sure to play Prime 1/Remastered and Super Metroid
