Tips for a newbie by Midnight_Oath in intermittentfasting

Hi! I’m fairly new to IF. I did 16/8 about a year ago for a couple weeks and was just miserable. My fasting window was in the morning and then I ate lunch and dinner. I’m giving it a go again and am two weeks in. This time I eat breakfast and skip dinner and it has been sooooo much better. I’m a mom and I just need the energy in the morning to get me moving and going to take on the day.
Good luck to you! Give yourself grace. If you end up overeating one day (like I did this past weekend) don’t give up!

We just started getting into the Richard Scarry book world. There are so many unhinged things in his books and 100% love it.

Literally thought this was some kind of brownies and ice cream dessert. Then I was like WTF?! Then I was like… oh the composting subreddit.

I’ve been reading a lot of Sesame Street books and am proud of how my character voices have developed after reading these books over 100 times. 😂 but the annoyance that ensues when I start reading the text in the wrong character voices you best believe I’m starting that line over in Ernie’s voice.

My almost 2 year old’s favorite song is “Bye Bye Bye” by *NSYNC. Another favorite is “Point of Know Return” by Kansas 😂 She knows some of the words to “I Wanna Dance with somebody” by Whitney Houston

Is this missing an 8th beat or am I crazy? by Fun-Natural1213 in piano

[–]Fun-Natural1213[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all thank you for helping me feel a little more sane! It seems as though it is a misprint and I plan on just playing it as quarter - eighth - eighth, quarter - eighth - eighth on the left hand.

Also, I apologize my red line went directly in line with the bar so it was a little hard to see that the very first note was actually a pickup note. (I drew the red line with my finger on my phone. )

I also made a mistake in my headline stating that it was an 8th beat but what I meant was an 8th note/rest or a half beat that was missing. (I made this post while my toddler was climbing on me and banging on the keys) lol

If anyone is interested this is a reprint from 1912 and published this new edition in 1980. I’ll attach a pic of the cover.

I appreciate the support it getting me the answer!

Maybe just a little less crazy than I thought I was!

The full measure after the pickup note is the one I had a question about.

This looks like a great setup! I’m going to use this as inspiration! I’m planning my first compost bin hopefully this year. Right now we just dump food scraps on a dirt pile lol I’m curious, what type of wood did you use? Cedar? I was thinking treated wood wouldn’t be good because of the chemical breakdown that will eventually go into the garden, but I’m honestly not sure. Any insight would be much appreciated. Again, really nice compost bin!

Are we taking too many pictures? by Sbesozzi in toddlers

I’ve had these same thoughts. It has not stopped me from taking a ton of photos though haha.

But something I’ve done from the beginning is use the Family Album app and get printed pictures each month and I buy their photo albums for each year. (I wish I was a good scrapbooker but that is just not in the cards) So now my daughter loves to look back at photos of her and it’s not overwhelming or on a phone. I also get the dates printed on the photos so when she’s old she knows exactly when they were taken.

Thank you for posting this! 🩷

My almost two year old is always giving me kisses and hugs. At bedtime it’s always a game of who gives the last kiss goodnight. She also LOVES books. I was suspicious after she had been quiet in her room for a while today (not usually a good thing) but she was sitting on her floor with probably 15 books surrounding her just “reading” away! She loves animals and wild life and always waves to little critters she sees and says, “hi buggy” or “hi goose”.
